Hello everyone,

Here is my current ninja deck that I've been working on. The deck is essentially a tempo deck with a dash of aggro/control like most ninja decks. The idea is to play your ninja enablers early and have your ninjas come in and grab card or tempo advantages. Higure, the Still Wind and Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni are around to help finish the job. Below is a list of all the cards in the deck and sideboard, and my explanation for them. I'm trying to stick to a low budget with this deck as well. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Deck Explanation:

Higure, the Still Wind : One of the more important ninjas in the deck; gives you the ability to attack with unblocked ninjas and search for more in your library. Truly a must-have.

Mistblade Shinobi : One of the core ninjas we'll be playing, this guy can easily come out off an attack on turn two and bounce a creature the opponent just laid, setting them back dramatically while putting a body on the board.

Ninja of the Deep Hours: The other core ninja of the deck, this guy hurts a bit more than mistblade and is card advantage on a stick.

Throat Slitter : Dark Banishing on a stick. Decent ninja, though will need to be replaced against some black decks.

Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni: Can be tutored by Higure, and decent win condition if drawn later. I feel like any more than one of this card would be too clunky for the deck, but it has the ability to end games.

Ornithopter and Triton Shorestalker are pretty self-explanatory as ninja enablers, and the Augury Owl is a nice way to continuously set up our draws.

Distortion Strike is a great way to get your ninjas through blockers in the mid game, and adds a bit of extra damage to boot.

Mana Leak is a classic counterspell that will mainly be used to stop opposing bombs, further limit the opponent's tempo early game, or prevent removal from hitting your creatures.

Peel from Reality seems tailor-made for a ninja deck in that it allows you to bounce one of your own creatures back to hand (like a ninja) and one of your opponent's as well. If you're in a spot where bouncing your own creature isn't a great idea, Ornithopter can be bounced for free.

Sideboard Explanation:

Shuriken will come in against faster decks that will need a repeated Shock effect, or perhaps black decks that you might need removal for due to the downside of Throat Slitter .

Echoing Truth is another great bounce spell, and does work against token decks or decks with other permanents you don't have an answer for. It, like Peel, can bounce your own ninjas in a pinch.

Skullsnatcher is a very cheap, efficient ninja that is great against decks with graveyard-based themes/abilities.

Duress is a standard hand disruption card, and probably useful in some matchups.

Thanks for reading, and please feel free to suggest any and all changes!
