Wall of Deceit

Creature — Wall

Defender (This creature can't attack.)

: Turn Wall of Deceit face down.

Morph (You may cast this card face down as a 2/2 creature for . Turn it face up any time for its morph cost.)

Indeed, Riptide Turtle is a nice substitute for Wall of Deceit . Nice! I'm not quite convinced of Birth of Meletis. I think I'd rather have ramp which puts the lands on the battlefield.

Sorry for answering late THCue, I've been busy the last weeks. You have some very nice cards in your deck, thank you for posting the list. I'll go into detail for some cards and share my opinion.

Aura Shards I really like it and this card will be added sooner or later.

As I said earlier, I just don't want to add fetch lands for different reasons. I don't think they are mandatory for mana fixing in this deck, also the price might turn some people off.

A friend of mine runs Slaughter the Strong in one of his Oathbreaker decks. I don't think it isn't that good because an opponent can still haven 4 1/1 creatures to block your stuff or to have a engine. I'm happy when it is this board wipe instead of another one because I can save some creatures.

Thallid Shell-Dweller , Perimeter Captain and Wall of Deceit ignore their abilities! They have the best mana/toughness value!

Cards like Sunpetal Grove rarely come in tapped, but that's personal taste.

On a side note Sacred Rites won me a game yesterday. I discarded 4 cards and swung big. I'll keep testing it.

The_Declan I once had both cards in the deck. It really is personal preference what to keep and add between both of them. I rarely block with my creatures so the ability is negligible for me. But thank you for your suggestion!

Okay here I go I might tweak it more but this is the only change I did.

What I have in my deck vs yours...

Mizzium Skin Added Protection

Windswept Heath swamped out a land that could come in tapped

Fog Bank great for that tron or a bigger mob

Aura Shards just broken in this deck kill everything!

Congregation at Dawn tutor for Tetsuko

Slaughter the Strong Another board whip but not mine!

Teyo, the Shieldmage Hexproof plus wallsnot to bad...

And here is what I don't have in mine...

Thallid Shell-Dweller I really do this this is poop and we can have a better card I hate saplings lol

Mana Drain Don't have another or I prolly would or a Force of Will If I could.

Meekstone Our walls are bigger than most creatures. With Tys out we run through them anyways.

Sacred Rites Deffo not to many ways for this to go wrong.

Sunpetal Grove open hand means this could come in tapped and not a fan of tapped chanced duals this is a fast deck.

Perimeter Captain not to keen on this card but who knows it's an option.

Wall of Deceit it's ability is poop. pulled him out.

This is our only differences in our decks. Like I said it's too strong to play with my friends, so I've been trying more casual decks for fun.

Hey guys,

after ages I had some time to did some small changes and add the Bident of Thassa also an Amaranthine Wall and a Grasslands for a Plains, Vine Trellis and Wall of Deceit .

What do you think?

So what I ended up with was this. Removed Mana Drain Replaced with Arcane Denial Due to having my costly card in one of my main decks this is a good alternative.

Removed Wall of Deceit And added Slaughter the Strong

Removed Muddle the Mixture And added Aura Shards

This was my final outcome till we brew more or ideas.

:)

Wow, you have been very active, that's nice!

Slaughter the Strong is a great card and would fit perfectly in the deck, I'm thinking about it since it was in the spoilers for RXN and I have it already at home. I'm currently observing my playgroup if I should add it or not.

When I brew this deck I also stumbled upon Noetic Scales but since I mostly have 4+ cards in hand it won't do much for me. Same for Ensnaring Bridge .

Bant Charm is really great for a charm, but I think it is too hard to keep thre different mana symbols open into other player's turns. This limits us too much in playing stuff in our turn.

Karn Liberated like others said, too expensive mana and money wise and not supporting our deck directly. But it is a nice card :)

Aura Shards is awesome, espacially since enchantment decks are increasing lately. I'll se if I can get my hands on one.

Like HobbyGamer007 said, Wall of Deceit is a 2 drop 5/5. There aren't any better defenders mana/toughness wise, yet. We can simply ignore all it's other abilities.

Vlasiax

Dawn is the best part from Dusk . Like HobbyGamer007 said, it destroys our commander and there are better cards.

Silence look good at first, but you are only slowing an opponent down for a turn, where counterspells and removal spell let you react directly to a threat.

Why won't Fell the Mighty deal with little creatures or vampires? You should target one of your defenders with 0 strength.

I don't like supporting my opponents, that's why I don't run Wall of Shards . Same goes for Arcane Denial .

HobbyGamer007

I intentionally started this as a budget deck, so cards like Force of Will or fetch lands are not included. While I totally agree with you that they would make it better, I'm quite happy with the land base and rarely run into colour problems. But thanks for giving a good route! :D

Thing in the Ice  Flip could become very bad btw.! You should always watch your spells, because your opponents will :D Could be fun in certain situations and somehow manageable, but it can add a chaos factor I don't like.

Well, these are my opinions, thanks for suggesting so much cool stuff and always commenting on here. I really enjoy brewing this deck with you guys and I hope you are all successful with your decks!

@HobbyGamer007 Thanks for chiming in great points and Ideas! Going to put a Thing in the Ice  Flip in and a Aura Shards Think they should deffo be in this deck. Going to keep Wall of Deceit this card will always bring up the morf debit and rather just leave it out for now. Great tip on Arcane Denial Tossing that in because my Mana Drain is in one of my main decks. Well that's three am cutting for some new cards. And play testing.
