Foxes are elusive scavengers or predators. They are shy, seldom seen, but opportunistic.

Challenge: This is a multi-part challenge for more than one contributor. Part 1: Create a permanent card that searches for a card by name after some kind of condition is met. The card you're designing is one part of a two or three-part combo. Don't design the card being searched for, but instead let that be Part 2 of this challenge, to be done by someone else. You may add whatever you like to the conditions of Part 2, and you can even give that card a name because your artifact refers to it by name.

Inspiration for this comes from Bubbling Cauldron, Festering Newt, and Bogbrew Witch, or Sword of Kaldra, Shield of Kaldra, and Helm of Kaldra, or Renowned Weaponsmith with Vial of Dragonfire and Heart-Piercer Bow.

Osbert on Yarok combo landfall

You need more reliable ways to deal with Torpor Orb , Hushwing Gryff , and Hushbringer because if they land they will make your deck quite useless. That Reclamation Sage in your hand would love to blow up Torpor Orb... too bad it doesn't work anymore. Good spot removal like Abrupt Decay , Beast Within , Return to Nature , Assassin's Trophy , etc. These are ESSENTIAL for a Yarok deck because the above cards really do wreck you.

Yarok has deathtouch so abuse it. Viridian Longbow , Thornbite Staff , and Heart-Piercer Bow let Yarok take out creatures on board easily.

You might want to invest in some lower cost mana ramp options like 1 CmC mana dorks and some more of the 2 CmC draw creatures. This ism aninly to lower your mana curve and let you go off a bit faster.

Seems like you have no early-game plays, and low power. Your artifacts aren't doing you much, especially Heart-Piercer Bow and Vial of Dragonfire . There's a reason Renowned Weaponsmith isn't OP, and it's because he fetches absolute garbage. There are other low-cost artifacts you can get that will help your gameplan and still help Shimmer Dragon (who really isn't worth the build-around), so search around and find a few you like.

itsbuzziThats fair and i realised that later after thinking about it for a while, but i use Heart-Piercer Bow mainly to just deal 1 damage, if i attach it to a deathtoucher then it will deal 1 damage and also my deathtoucher will then do what it does if the opponent decides to defend. Otherwise i can always equip it to a flier like Vilis, Broker of Blood and use his spell ability and Heart-Piercer Bow to destroy any flying creature that tries to defend against Vilis before his attack goes through..... for example.

So I'm curious why Panharmonicon and Conjurer's Closet didn't make the list. They both seem like easy shoe-ins as they help you accomplish what you are already doing.

I would also suggest some more ways to artificially blink creatures like Mimic Vat , Corpse Dance , or Necromancy to keep abusing powerful ETBs of creatures.

Lastly there are 2 cards you are going to HATE so you have to make sure you have ways to deal with them and they are Torpor Orb and Hushwing Gryff . They can be a real pain when your deck relies on ETBs for removal so having some more spells or activated abilities might be a good idea. I Suggest including a Beast Within and maybe Viridian Longbow , Heart-Piercer Bow , or Thornbite Staff as these paired with Yarok's death touch allow you to remove any creature.

This looks really well done! I only wish you had explained some of the references in the description. I'm looking to build a similar theme deck and could use some inspiration to get me started! I was sad to see you didn't include Odysseus' bow, but it seems like there aren't any good candidates maybe besides Heart-Piercer Bow. It's not really a good card though, so I think your inclusion of Hero's Blade and such makes for a more functional deck. Have you actually played this deck? If so, how does it perform? I'm a bit hesitant to try a themed deck since I would prefer to have a chance at winning too.

MeagherMan101 on Make them wither

Ooh cool deck, never thought about having wither creatures fight opponents to make them weaker but it sounds awesome!

Definitely would recommend Skinrender for it's synergy with Necroskitter. Plus it looks like an Alien from AvP which is just a bonus.

Blowfly Infestation is a cool enchantment that, in my opinion, should replace Everlasting Torment. It seems a little bit pointless since almost all your creatures have wither anyways. I get the synergy with Heart-Piercer Bow but I think a Viridian Longbow would be better (or even a Pathway Arrows) because you can equip it to creatures you don't want to attack like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons to ping their face and get a counter on a creature or put it on a wither creature when they have a big creature on the board you don't want to swing into.

The deck is interesting but what is the purpose of Heart-Piercer Bow? Cus unlike the viridian longbow and the staff, Heart-Piercer Bow says that IT does the 1 damage instead of the equipped creature, meaning it wouldn't apply deathtouch. Maybe instead of that, you could add Clear Shot, Rabid Bite, or even Nature's Way, as the vigilance helps, letting you attack with it and still have it as a blocker. Instead of that, you could even add Wander in Death since your creatures will probably die a lot.
