Bearer of Overwhelming Truths

Creature — Human Wizard

Prowess (Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.)

Whenever this deals combat damage to a player, investigate. (Create a colourless Clue artifact token with ", Sacrifice this artifact: Draw a card.")

You don't really need Fleeting Memories it is far too slow. You get max 6 cards milled per turn, assuming you do something else, compared to mill decks, which mill someone out t4, this is too slow. You could run cards like Daring Sleuth  Flip for Bearer of Overwhelming Truths  Flip.

Perhaps you could run 2 late game spells like Sphinx's Revelation this would make the burn matchup favourable to you.

All in all, i still feel like the deck is still too slow. Maybe you need more land and more control to get to your wincon

This deck definitely isn't going to have an easy time against competitive opponents, but it's pretty good nonetheless. Playtesting, I've found that I reach about 10-8 health before the board state really gets locked down proper. At that point, I'll have plenty of mana, all the clues I could want, a full hand, all their creatures tapped or exiled, and several Bearer of Overwhelming Truths  Flips pounding them for 5 or more damage each turn. Things get a bit hairy before that, but overall it's really fun to play! The flavour is fantastic too. A+!

I just finished making a clue deck, and this is what I found...

Clue-related colors are in white, blue, and green, so bant seems like the best for it. In terms of red and black cards, there are a few cards that would work nicely, but not enough to really push the deck into four colors.

I think Rafiq of the Many might be the most synergistic with Bearer of Overwhelming Truths  Flip, Briarbridge Patrol, and Ongoing Investigation, but I'm choosing to use Roon of the Hidden Realm instead to synergize with Drownyard Explorers and Thraben Inspector since Rafiq gets a lot of negative attention; Rafiq can swing out the gates really fast and clues are more for a slow game rather than a fast one.

Next, a lot of people don't like Primal Vigor, but I think it would be great here since it's basically another Parallel Lives (and hopefully Doubling Season eventually too!). Doubling clues is nice, but doubling their effects are cool too, so Alhammarret's Archive, Thought Reflection, and Rings of Brighthearth are also like auto-includes.

See more at the deck that I think would be successful in making clues work in EDH:

Thanks Hobbez9186! I like all of those ideas except the Trail of Evidence. I considered it for a minute when I was first putting this together, but with the limited number of triggers, and the already high number of other enchantments and artifacts, I didn't like the idea of having another "setup" item. I have so many other faster ways of getting clues, that it seemed redundant.

I like the Spectral Shepherd's ability to save my Bygone Bishop and Erdwal Illuminator, so he definitely sees an add to mainboard here. I also really like the interaction with Topplegeist, so I'm going to test him out as well. I need to be as controlling as possible, so anything that helps with that is great!

The main reason I have the Whirler Rogue here is to make sure I can get the Ongoing Investigation and Bearer of Overwhelming Truths  Flip triggers. I may drop 1 or 2 of him though to make room for the rest, and put the extras in sideboard if I have to switch to damage. I think the rest of my sideboard is going to be things like Turn Aside, Negate and Deny Existence.

I'm not too fond of Briarbridge Patrol since you investigate enough and the second ability isnt too great.Daring Sleuth  Flip and Bearer of Overwhelming Truths  Flip would be a good replacement in my opinion, Lowers the mana curve and gives you a prowess card.

Drop the enchantments to 3 each to add an extra 2 Confront the unknown since its basically Giant Growth on steroids for a clue deck, and with flying you have a win condition, and its better than having a bunch of enchantments stacking but they wont do much, specificly the Aether Grid.

Seasons Past can get you cards back late game

Slip Through Space to get free card draw plus allow Bearer of Overwhelming Truths  Flip to investigate. Manic Scribe is a good wall plus helps with the mill. Don't ask me what to take out because I'm dumb, but some of the counters could go into the sideboard for these cards .

If you're going the Clue route as suggested by DroseraC, Graf Mole is a must as it prolongs your life long enough for you to stabilize. Another helpful guy for clues is Erdwal Illuminator. With him out, you can crank out clues like it's nobody's business which helps everyone except you opponent. And what do you do with your plethora of clue tokens? Sac them to Angelic Purge for some nice removal/clue token utility/prowess trigger for the Bearer of Overwhelming Truths  Flip.
