Here's a two years late answer (just getting back into Magic), but Sands of Time will prevent any permanents from phasing back in due to a lack of Untap phase. The deck aims to lock down the opponent and then win through Misers' Cage, Suq'Ata Firewalker, or, failing all of that, mill.

It honestly doesn't work with anything in standard to warrant a main set reprint. Stormscale Scion could just fit in a dragon deck and have the storm ability only be relevant in the late game while also being used in an actual "dragonstorm" deck. Dragonstorm could have been a cool special guests reprint, but I'm not surprised that it wasn't included into the main set.

mtgApprentice21, just so you know, I have transitioned over to Moxfield for posting my decks online. Two reasons: 1, I do not believe Tappedout decks appear on EDHrec; and 2, I like their UI a lot better.
Most of my decks are not there, because I have actually disassembled many of them for redesigning, but if you want to see up-to-date versions of the decks I do have active currently, that's the place to look.

jonjonhholt oh I like the idea of Oliphaunt and Dwarven Mine! I was wondering how else we could tinker with this deck! Sick, I shall experiment haha. And do you run less then 16 lands? I'll have to peak your list if you have it on here haha. And yeah I'd like to run a couple more dredgers, Golgari Brownscale is a pet card of mine, but am having trouble finding space, I could cut the Fiery Temper but I'm rather partial to them and having some removal so I'm not sure lol. Thanks for the suggestions! I've got some tinkerin to do now lol.

DragonMaster420, just to tag on as someone who has played a lot of this deck, i dont even run the Conduit Pylons. I get the desire to hard cast cards like snacker but adding the necessary support for that reduces the decks consistency, which is one of its strong suits imo. The deck is actually really good at getting in chip damage with Masked Meower, Molten Gatekeeper, etc so usually you dont need to deal all 20 with the giant but I think you would be surprised how easy it is to get 20 creatures in the gy with stinkweed imp. Also I would say <5% of games I actually run into scenarios where I want to be hard-casting the black cards in the deck. And if you look at the versions of red dredge that are going 5-0 in mtgo pauper leagues they are almost all mono-red
Murrow i like this list, personally I enjoy running 5-6 dredge cards, obviously nothing comes close to Stinkweed Imp but Golgari Brownscale gives you some lifegain where as Greater Mossdog gives you an extra dredge compared to the brownscale. Also, I like running 4 Oliphaunt in place of some of the mountains for a higher creature count to help Lotleth Giant hit harder. Plus you can sneak in a single copy of Dwarven Mine thats tutorable with the Oliphaunt for an extra body to sac to Dread Return but that definitely isnt vital

DragonMaster420 I didn't invent this deck. It's an established archetype in the pauper format. Just look up mono red dredge in pauper and you'll see. There are plenty of YouTube videos. And yes I've played the deck it's quite effective.
And there are other variants of the deck. Hell I've built plenty of versions. But I like the simplicity of the mono red version.

Whenever I see a deck like this I can't help but feel like (especially since you are on Underground Seas anyways) Dark Ritual would feel really good, if you want something to cut to test a couple out I'd pull Trickbind in a second, sticking a Turn 1 Dreadnaught sometimes is a LOT better than sticking one turn 3, so much so that it'd be worth a mulligan to try and hit Illusionary Mask and Dreadnaught with a Dark Ritual.
This looks more interesting to play than Modern Death Shadow family lists ever were!

have you actually tested this? you're being awful condescending about a combo that isn't winning you the game. it's unlikely the giant deals 20 damage with it's etb all at once, and i just don't see you being able to sacrifice 6 total creatures to Dread Return it a 2nd time. all i'm suggesting is that you add some dual lands.
