I like the premise of the deck a lot. Such a great place for Magnetic Web, you have some really cool inclusions.

bloodmvzzle, have you had a chance to play it?

Let's not forget Master Warcraft. Can be used as spot removal on 2 opponents or use one to take the other out leaving the attacker open for a swing.

Both forced attacks and blocks can be used in any color thanks to things like Magnetic Web or Nemesis Mask.

Ize19 I'd forgotten that combo... may have to remind my play group of it next session :)

I would like to use this thread to share my deck called, Hit Me where I use Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts to lure attack at myself. Since there is no way to make the attack Directly at me i thought i would make it beneficial to attack me. It is a mix of Monarch, curses on myself, Maddening Imp,Magnetic Web and the Coveted Jewel to make attacking me more appealing or just force attacks. But catch is I would use cards like my commander, Entrapment Maneuver, Oath of Kaya, Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker to Punish the attacks. So it creates this little game of do I attack him.

So let's here how you built your commander in a unconventional way. And what are your thoughts on my deck?

Oof, thanks for the effort, hope it didn't take too long. Magnetic Web has long deserved a home, thanks for that reminder in particular

Here's hoping for color shifted Thief of Blood

Hi, just wanted to point out that you can't trap opponents into fighting Grothama, since the ability specifies "may have it fight", so if you cast something to make Grothama indestructible they can just choose not to fight. If there are multiple fights you can wait until before the last one to cast your trick so you at least kill a few creatures, but opponents can also respond with removal. Card draw is really the best thing to do with Grothama.

If you want to make use of Grothama's high power, try Pathbreaker Ibex, Overwhelming Stampede, and Dragon Throne of Tarkir.

Magnetic Web does look fun. You can try Grappling Hook for something similar. If you're using effects like that anyway, Engulfing Slagwurm is really powerful.

Its nice to see a fellow lover of Grothama! I have a budget version that takes a different trek with Grothama. Mine focuses more on using the card draw ability as a trap for punishing opponents with the fight ability. A few cards that you might consider that can force your opponents into tangling with Grothama: Arcum's Whistle, Bullwhip, and Magnetic Web.

Foe-Razer Regent also works great with the big wurm.

Lastly, I find the "Monarch" mechanic to be really strong with Grothama. Regal Behemoth and Entourage of Trest would help there.

Here is my version if you feel like taking a look: Boss Battle. It's power level is much lower than yours due to the budget restrictions, but it seems pretty fun!
