Brand new to Magic!

First deck I've ever built so go easy on me, and ultimately help me destroy my brother!

Currently the only cards I own are the Dominaria Chandra, Bold Pyromancer Planeswalker deck.

My brother bought the Dominaria Teferi, Timebender deck.

In our few match-ups I'm constantly struggling against his flyers as the Chandra deck completely lacks any flying or reach creatures, having to rely on instants/sorcery to kill them, or putting enough threats out that he has to use them to block with.

With the release of the new Core 2019 sets I’ve decided the most logical (and enjoyable) step is to buy the Sarkhan, Dragonsoul Planeswalker deck, then smash the two decks together into a Mono-red Dragons deck using mostly the Sarkhan cards.

I’ve also augmented these 2 decks with a few extra cards I’ll have to purchase to beef it up in power a little, but I’d like to keep these additional costs to a minimum if I can.

Lastly I’m trying to future proof the deck a little and stick to the latest sets, hopefully means I don’t have to buy any/many replacements come October 2018, hence the lack of Glorybringer.

Are there any other budget cards that’ll do better than what I have access to? Any decent nearly-as-effective cards that are cheaper than the extra one's I'm planning on buying to cut costs down? Are there any of the cards from the 2 decks I have that would be better suited in this deck? Too many large creatures, add some more lower cost one's?
