Need a new Mono-Black Commander..

So, a while back I had built my first EDH deck around Horobi, Death's Wail.. As I expected, if left alone I could take over the game, but instead I seem to only draw hate.. So now I'm looking to switch Horobi out for something a little less "cute", and hopefully without having to completely change my current list (aside from Horobi-specific tech, of course)..
Here the deck I'm working with..

Here's the list of potential Mono-Black Commanders that I currently own, and therefore to choose from.. My "Top-3" are listed first, the rest are in no particular order..
- Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed
- Liliana, Heretical Healer
Flip
Morinfen / Gallowbraid Voltron (Troll-tron)
- Kokusho, the Evening Star
- Erebos, God of the Dead
- Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder
- Hythonia the Cruel
- Visara the Dreadful
- King Macar, the Gold-Cursed
- Kuon, Ogre Ascendant
- Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis
- Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon
The general goal here is to have a definitive Mono-Black deck that can survive at least a moderate amount of hate, and without being too cheesy in the process..
Morinfen / Gallowbraid yes. yes yes yes.
Although, I'm always for commanders nobody uses. And may I also direct you to the lovely card of Eon Hub, of which I use in my Equipment Voltron Kataki, War's Wage deck. Shameless Plug.
Additionally, Repay in Kind, Soul Conduit, and other like cards could find equally good play in such decks.

I think Gonti, Lord of Luxury is a very interesting and unique commander. You randomly get to play sweet cards from your opponents decks and he immediately replaces himself with another card. I believe he is more of a "good stuff" commander as in he isn't central to the gameplan, but it seems like he could be a lot of fun!

I apologise for my ignorance, but why are Morinfen / Gallowbraid good commanders? There must be some synergy I am not aware of, as all I can see is two mediocre creatures I probably wouldn't even use in the 99. Also they don't have partner. Please end my confusion...
Your not the first person I misjudged: I made the mistake of calling Breya, Etherium Shaper a bad commander, too. Sorry in advance.

Yes, play Gonti, Lord of Luxury. He can be great fun, since opponents don't know what you take from them until it's too late.

I would advise against King Macar. I have a deck around him and is my favourite deck to pilot, but one thing I can tell you is that the deck builds around his ability so there are gonna be problems in retrofitting an existing deck to him. That said, my vote would be Liliana.

@Geralf_Cecani: you are correct in your judgement about those two, they are BAD.
But..! One of my favourite strategies is suicide black with cards like Lich, Repay in Kind and Mirror Universe. In those strategies, Gallowbraid can help through his cumulative upkeep. Here's a decent take on this guy: Because if you laugh, you die!

Erebos is the best all around black commander for anything honestly. Card draw, indestructable, late game threat and stops lifegain decks by existing.

I say f**k em. You built a deck you enjoy and love to play, if they don't like it, they can go somewhere else. I'm actually getting A LOT of hate for just attempting to make an Infect/Deathtouch edh and I could care less. They are not YOUR cards, YOU did not pay for them, YOU don't have to play against me.
That being said I am biased to Liliana, Heretical Healer Flip as I am making a Zombie tribal edh with her as the Commander. Enjoy your games! :)
