"Are those mountains or men?!" "Mountains. For sure."

Turbo Giants is an aggro Boros deck centered around populating big speedy Giant Warrior tokens and smashing in recklessly. This is a pretty spicy build if I do say so myself, and I've seen some pretty crazy results in testing. Once Giantbaiting drops, so does the opponent's jaw. And their life total. Anyway, let's get into this $20 pile of dirty cards.

Not too many creatures in this deck. We can't populate these guys anyway.

Goblin Bushwhacker - An amazing finisher. This spicy boy smashes in damage like nobody's business.

Dragon Fodder/Krenko's Command - these cards create the perfect amount of 1/1 Goblin tokens to conspire out two Giantbaiting tokens on turn 3. One-way trip to valuetown.

Hordeling Outburst - three 1/1's for 3. Straight-up.

Otherworldly Outburst - this card is a little trickster. It can be used to punch in some extra damage when needed or take advantage of chump-blocking by casting this on our blocker (or the opponent's). Plus, the 3/2 Eldrazi Horror token is a great body for this format. It can be populated as well.

Make Mischief - a spicy removal spell that makes an annoying little 1/1 Devil. Besides being spicy beyond reason, this card can get rid of small threats, and make a token that is great at chumpblocking and is very versatile. And, as usual, it can be populated to make more.

Thatcher Revolt - a flavorful finisher with Rally the Peasants, and three speedy 1/1 Human tokens on color for Giantbaiting isn't too shabby. It's also unreasonably spicy. If you want them to stick around, populate them.

Giantbaiting - the namesake and primary finisher of this deck, Giantbaiting catches opponents off guard time and time again. The hasty 4/4 Giant Warrior tokens do great work in this format, and using Wake the Reflections on the same turn just feels so good.

Wake the Reflections - this card is most often a 4/4 creature with haste for [symbol:w] in this deck. Incredible value.

Rootborn Defenses - protection from Electrickery or Pestilence that creates another token.

Magma Spray - if you have Lightning Bolts! USE THEM. These are here for budget reasons, but still, Magma Spray is viable removal

Journey to Nowhere - ultimate white removal for pauper

Faithless Looting - card filtering. Discard Rally the Peasants for value.

Rally the Peasants - Repeatable boros finisher at instant speed. with only only four tokens, a Bushwhacker, and a Rally, that's 20 damage. Use wisely. Or don't, I don't care.

11 mountains and 5 Plains. That's some aggro boros for you.

4 Wind-Scarred Crag Lifegain and mana fixing

Dragon Egg - For decks running fliers, or decks running big ground attackers that can be blocked then flown over by a 2/2 firebreathing dragon token

Lumithread Field - additional protection from sweepers

Beckon Apparition - for Exhume decks. It makes a 1/1 flier too which is nice

Electrickery - for tokens. Fight fire with fire

Pyroblast - to deal with the dreaded color blue

Smash to Smithereens - for affinity and other artifact-heavy decks

Sundering Growth - for decks running enchantments or artifacts. Sundering growth can also give us another big token in certain situations.

Tips for Piloting Turbo Giants

  • Keep a hand with a Dragon Fodder or Krenko's Command, at least two lands, and a Giantbaiting. If there's a Wake the Reflections in there, you're stupid not to keep it.

  • If there is an empty boardstate and you have 3-5 tokens on board, don't be afraid to smash in with a Rally the Peasants or Goblin Bushwhacker. Don't hold on to those too long or you won't get a chance to utilize them.

  • Try to never populate 1/1 goblin tokens.

  • Have fun, this deck is meant to be fun to pilot, not to win all the time. If you do win though, smear it all over your opponent's pathetic face. And tell me because I want to know.

  • Giants

  • Dragons in the sideboard

  • Devils

  • Horrors

  • Angry Mobs

  • Explosive

  • Cheap as heck

  • Fun to pilot

  • Weak to boardwipes

  • Weak to counters

  • Might not be fast enough

If you like the deck, give it a try and let me know how it goes! All suggestions are welcome, but remember, only common rarity is allowed in Pauper.
