I only Use the Anger of the Gods as a backup plan, if all my shit gets wiped out, I can return the favor before casting new creatures again. But I do move them in and out of the sideboard a lot.

I Went and picked up 2 more Mizzium Mortars for my mainboard and moved Anger of the Gods to Sideboard. Helps out my CMC.

+4 Thunderous Might or Madcap Skills

I did have the Madcap Skills in the maybe board for this deck....I just like being able to draw the card and make my creatures firebreathing with the Dragon Mantle . I will try switching them out for the Thunderous Might or madcaps a couple games and see how it plays out. Thanks for the suggestions. I think The new Iroas, God of Victory would be a good addition to this deck.

First of all, this deck is already competitive +1

Second, it may seem a little crazy, but i would remove all white from your deck. The Reckoner absolutely should stay though. I think that the Legion's Initiative is sorta useless because you have zero white creatures(besides the reckoner), and the only creature that gives you an enter the battlefield effect is the Fanatic of Mogis , which you don't really need after one time. The initiative is useful, but i personally don't think it's worth slowing your game down through a playset of lands that enter tapped just so you can play a card that gives your creatures +1/+0, and MAYBE +1/+1. if you add more reason to play white such as Iroas, God of Victory or Boros Elite or Soldier of the Pantheon , then this deck seems fantastic.

If you want to take out all white (besides the Reckoner), then i would suggest the following cards (you can choose the quantites);More Fanatic of Mogis Maybe Coordinated Assault Maybe Dynacharge Maybe Firedrinker Satyr Foundry Street Denizen Maybe Nyxborn Rollicker Shock Maybe Spark Jolt Maybe Titan's Strength Maybe Weapon Surge

whew the good things about the ones above is that they have a cmc of 1, so they r easy 2 play.

I Pulled Fanatic of Mogis and Legion's Initiative for Madcap Skills and Thunderous Might . This deck is testing very well against my local meta at the moment which consists of my best friend, and my brother. LoCaLGoD. He has badass decks posted and so do I. We try to prepare our decks for any of the many shifting Standard deck types by keeping up with all the winning Standard decks, building our own version, and playing them against each other and at the local MTG Standard tourneys. We would appreciate any card suggestions, advice on sideboarding or strategies against certain deck types. Cheers and may the mana be with you!!

I sorta disagree with some advice up above. Enchantments in general have the drawback of being 2 for 1'd from removal, which currently, there's a lot of. That being said, dragon mantle is insanely weird in red because it gives you card draw. I'd definitely keep them in here and up the Chandra's Phoenix count to 4. Keeping up the pressure is everything in this kind of deck.

I ended up adding Madcap Skills , Thunderous Might , and mainboarded the Stormbreath Dragon s, and wow does this deck pack a punch, and fast. The red devotion that builds up with the Thunderous Might and an Ash Zealot with a Dragon Mantle and a Madcap Skills on her alone is pretty awesome! If my creatures all get popped, I can save em with Boros Charm or return the favor with Mizzium Mortars or Anger of the Gods . Thanks for all the comments and suggestions.

I would recommend Fanatic of Mogis , the devotion burn stuff works great with Boros Reckoner and Ash Zealot .

I use Thunderous Might in place of Fanatic of Mogis . It's a way faster combo for red devotion. Thanks for the suggestions tho~!

Do you think this is modern viable with something like Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker to copy the fanatic?

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx Because devotion, also, mana filtering when you need it.

I've had a Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx in the deck from time to time...Just never seem to pull it when I need it. I'll try adding one back into the deck for a while to see how it plays out. Do you recommend more then One?

MindAblaze!, I'm not too familiar with modern, I am a Vintage player, who just dropped into Standard at Theros Block. However, I was trying a combo with Fanatic of Mogis and Legion's Initiative for a minute. Never had it play out well for me...could have just been bad draws, I gave up on it for now, and moved my build toward supporting the Thunderous Might . As did my brother who just kicked me down 4 straight games with his deck, Thunderous aggro using my same basic build, plus Twinflame , Act of Treason and some other stuff. Both decks are capable of wining on turn 4 if there is minimal defense in the way or if you have the right draw. Fanatic of Mogis would prolly work well in the deck,I just can't find a spot for him at the moment mostly because I can't cast him till 4th turn with this deck.

Well if you only have one, you'll hardly ever pull it, I'd say 3x is comfortable. just remember if you can tap nykthos for 5 mana, and draw a another Nykthos, you can do that, play your new nykthos, sac the old tapped one, and then tap it for a total of 8 or for a different color.

2 would be okay if you wanna see it from time to time, I have 2x mizzium mortars in another deck usually run into one of them in a game, but that deck has scry and draw.

Maybe replace the Temple of Triumph with Mana Confluence so you don't have to wait to untap?

I'm not sure if Strangleroot Geist is lesbian or even female, but it looks like a pretty good replacement for Bassara-Tower archer.

Also, what about horizon canopy for a land?
