ever since I saw Approach of the Second Sun I wanted to make a deck with it. Although most attempts at it failed, Ixalan and the rotation made it better. so this is my way of playing with it. It looks like most other approach decks except I run Scavenger Grounds and Field of Ruin I haven't seen many other decks that run them...so.....ya....originality.......yay.

anyway I think my deck has a great sideboard ready for most match ups

aggro: in this match up I take out Gideon of the Trials, both Search for Azcanta  , and 2 Censor for 3 Authority of the Consuls and 2 Essence Scatter. hopefully with this I can slow them down enough to win.

control: against these decks I take out 3 Fumigate, 3 Settle the Wreckage, and both Aether Meltdown for 3 Disallow, 3 Negate, and 2 Torrential Gearhulk. Sideboarding on game 2 the opponent takes out all removal because I have no creatures and thats when I add my gearhulks in. I also thing I might add in 2 Essence Scatter and get rid of 2 Censor to stop there creature wincons.

gift decks: against this deck I have Scavenger Grounds in the mainboard, also I can Cast Out or counter the gift. I don't think there is much sideboarding here, possibly maybe Authority of the Consuls to stop haste.

energy: this I put in 2 Solemnity for both Search for Azcanta   depending on if it is control or midrange see those match up sideboads.

+1+1 counters: also 2 Solemnity for the Search for Azcanta  s

midrange: this is my best match up without sideboards this type includes those dino decks. the only sideboards for this would possibly be Authority of the Consuls for dinos and maybe Essence Scatters

in conclusion I think this deck is very competitive and I have answers for most every deck in the meta. thanks for coming!
