I'm in the process of brewing a deck for my girlfriend. She is very new to magic (and games in general) and I've been trying to find a deck that is right for her and makes her want to play. Then I thought I'd combine her two favorite things: a strong female character Samut, Voice of Dissent and cats. The strategy for the deck will ideally be combat, as this is the simplest way to win the game and will make teaching her to play easier. There is pretty good support for naya cats but I'm wondering which ones are best suited for a beginner deck? I'm also thinking of running anthem effects like Gaea's Anthem and True Conviction and a little bit of ramp to support the kitties.

I'm envisioning this deck having minimal "deck interaction", and basically just: draw, play kitty, attack with kitties, done, kind of thing. The deck won't be very good for starters but I want to get the real basics in now. Her simply learning the keywords will be enough to start (we're talking baby magic here).

I don't want to break the bank with this deck as she may or may not play it as often but I'm not super budget or anything. Mainly I just want a kitty deck that is suitable for someone who hasn't touched magic before and is very simple to pick up and play. Thank you!
