Sideboard

Maybeboard

I saw a tweet by RedDeckWinning, and decided to put together a different take on Red Deck Wins. Ran it on my Monday Night Standard League and went 3-1. The only match I dropped was to a R/B Bomat Deck, and those games could have easily gone my way that's how close they were.

This deck is fast, hits very hard, and you don't run out of gas like in some of the faster Red Decks. It is a bit odd not having a handful of burn, but Magma Spray does a very nice job of cleaning stuff up.

Bloodlust Inciteris the perfect one drop, the biggest all star of the deck is the Glorybringer, and usually when that card drops, it's game over. It also is pretty forgiving, if you make a questionable play, you usually have something in hand to right the ship next turn.

I think I need to look at the sideboard to try and combat control, not a huge presence in my meta, but I see guys building Temur Control with Gearhulks and Ulamogs. Not sure how well this would hold up against those type of decks.

UPDATE: I turned this deck into the Pioneer format, and will be tweaking it over time, and incorporating newer, better cards into it.

3-1

Game One W/U jank deck. This deck really had no chance, and both games were over by turn 6. The first game had the perfect draw with the inciter, Kara, and then crop crasher.

Game two, Mono Black Zombies. Pretty much a fast zombie deck, He got the board going early, but I out paced his deck in both games, and his removal was spent on the Crop Crashers, and Small dragons. Glorybringer brought this one home. 2-0

Game three, R/B Bomat Courier Deck...lots of artifacts, lots of burn. I dropped both of these games, i think the first game the final life total was 5-0, the second game 4-0. So they really came down to the wire. The biggest kick to my teeth was getting hit with Unlicensed Disintegration in each game.

Game Four Mono black Vampires. Another fast deck, with lots of removal. I won the first game quickly, lost the second, and won the third with a second combat phase from Combat Celebrant hitting twice with the Glorybringer.
