Rakdos Cackler for the dragons because if your going aggro devotion its a much better road to the kill also Madcap Skills is another good one to make you harder to block and stronger

yeah, so drop the amount of Stormbreath Dragon s you run. I suggest 2 mainboard, and 2 sideboard for Control/midrange Decks. I ran a RDW, which turned into a R/G deck, which morphed into a Boros deck. I learned that to many high drops are bad. Its better to truly curve out with aggro. You seriously need 1 drops, and it will be the only way you'll beat a deck that desides to T4 Supreme Verdict . 1 Drops are key.

Would suggest you find room for Legion Loyalist and Rakdos Cackler . Right now your decks main win con is Devotion and Fanatic. Thats nice and all, but a good deck needs at least 1-2 alternative win cons. You are looking at an aggro deck that can hit even harder than usual. What your deck is is pretty much Red Deck Wins.

You need to hit hard every single turn to have a good Red Wins deck. I would suggest you cut 4 copies of Frostburn Weird for 4 copies of Rakdos Cackler . Cut 2x Stormbreath Dragon and 1x Fanatic of Mogis for 3x Chandra's Phoenix . This will give you a much better early game. I would then cut 1 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , 1 Ash Zealot , 1x Stomping Ground and 1x Mountain for 4x Legion Loyalist .

You're playing a devotion deck which SHOULD have a much sleeker curve than you're running, and you will not need 4x Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx (its a really dead drop in Red Deck Wins after you've gotten one already - you don't want to draw it multiple times in one game very often). You also don't need 25 lands. Fix your curve before you fill up your deck with so much mana to compensate. Just because you might have the expensive cards for this, doesn't mean you NEED to run them ALL.

The idea is a nice touch on the usual RDW, I commend your Green splash, but I would suggest you work on the curve. You don't have to take my suggestions, but right now your deck is GIVING the opponent time to set up. You're giving up your (Reds) most powerful turns by not having 1 drops, and having such an intense curve.

Best of luck :)

If you want to run 4 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx you should have some kind of mana sink. One example is Dragon Mantle .

25 lands is wayyyy to much! I think that those other slots would be much better used shoring up other spots.

devotion, you say? why no Thunderous Might ? Also, to many lands, and to many Stormbreath Dragon s. You need one drops, and you probably need more removal. Having five planeswalkers might be a bit out-of-place in RDW, but it's an interesting idea. SIdeboard Mindsparker can't hurt, it's a decent creature anyways. FIx your mana, 3.1 average CMC is to much. Anger of the Gods will often kill half your creatures so not great.

I still believe that 25 lands is way to many. Most control decks run 25/26. Drop 2/3 lands for a combination of Magma Jet and Lightning Strike . Burn is great in any RDW strategy and Magma Jet is perfect for hitting those crucial land drops and such. I would also consider Xenagos, The Reveler in for Chandra, Pyromaster . 2/2's a great and his first ability actually works really well with your deck.

I love how the deck has evolved since I last commented. Much nicer looking now! :D Still think your Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx could drop a little though.

RedSoxFanKy what you will find is Midrange decks classically run around 25 land unless they have a good work around. I would not run this deck below 24 lands. It's midrange, thats the point.

i took out Xenagos, God of Revels because he wasn't versatile enough, and replaced him with Ruric Thar, the Unbowed , and adding Garruk, Caller of Beasts would require me to run more green mana sources, which would make it impossible to get out my mana heavy creatures consistently, i.e. Boros Reckoner

You're running green devotion, it's not even the same type of deck.

Firedrinker Satyr is a 10x better 1-drop than Legion Loyalist .

I overloaded a Mizzium Mortars on a guy that had 3 Firedrinker Satyr s on the board once. It was fun.
