A huge fireball of gratitude to everyone who has upvoted and commented on the deck! Much appreciated.
For a few weeks I agonized over huge structure changes of the deck, tinkering around with a looting/rummaging theme, more recursion, more spell slinger, more pingers, etc. What I found was that mono-red does not have the draw to support spell slinger, and the deck couldn't get enough damage without suiting up Neheb and going into combat.
With that in mind, I forged ahead with some changes that I fell balance the deck a little better. A little less voltron, a little less fluff and distraction. A little more draw, more spells, more damage, and more important creatures. see below!
Out:
- Vesuva: Simply too slow, and I want to lose the focus on Valakut, if it happens it happens.
- Buried Ruin: Losing a lot of artifacts this round, and I want to clean up my mana base.
- Stormbreath Dragon: Kinda in a weird mana range for Neheb.
- Past in Flames: Definitely a mistake, but I just hate this card. It's so much mana! Even for Neheb.
- Reiterate: Out for Fork.
- Electrodominance: Out for an actual win con X-spell.
- Savage Beating: Very expensive and timing restrictive.
- Expedition Map: I want to lose the focus on Valakut, if it happens it happens.
- Mirage Mirror: Loss of a pet card, you will be missed :(
- Pyromancer's Goggles: Kinda too expensive for a mana rock or a copy spell, might be back.
- Inspiring Statuary: The loss of artifacts makes this guy not as good. Might be back.
- Obsidian Battle-Axe: Just sub par, even though I liked what it did.
- Sword of War and Peace: The protection was nice, but damage and lifegain just aren't enough for a sword.
In:
- Myriad Landscape: Great turn 1 play, ramps and get extra mountains for Valakut.
- Glint-Horn Buccaneer: Awesome damage and card selection, great with wheels and Neheb III.
- Sandstone Oracle: Good 2nd-main phase play that can get me some cards. Then can fly.
- Torbran, Thane of Red Fell: The one I've been waiting for a long time. No explanation needed for this guy.
- Magus of the Wheel: Early attacker and low cost wheel later in the game.
- Molten Disaster: I found the need for another Win-con, and in terms of traditional X-spells, this one is the best.
- Fork: "hey, me too!"
- Seething Song: Turn 3 Neheb.
- Slagstorm: Flexible burn spell.
- Price of Progress: Sometimes, the numbers don't lie. this one gets me a lot of mana for just 1R.
- Embercleave: Going against the grain of this round of changes, but Embercleave is a beast of a card, and smacking this on Neheb, who also has afflict, is gold.
- Tome of Legends: This draws a lot of cards.
- Quest for Pure Flame: A more controllable damage doubler.
With all these changes, I think the deck is improved. After 4 games it went 2-2 and I didn't notice any downside to losing a land. Please post any thoughts in the comments!

this list is sick. why no land destruction though? my buddy runs a nehab build similar to this but with a lot of MLD and Blood Moon effects. its savage af. our playgroup is pretty spikey though; I know a lot of people get pretty pissy when their lands are blown up for some reason :D

scrotality thanks! If you like the deck I’d appreciate an upvote if you haven’t already ;)
I guess land destruction was never my thing, though it seems like a good win con for Neheb. The problems I see with land destruction are a) everyone having bigger creatures that Neheb, negating my advantage and b) Neheb being blown up in response.

I have a question about a certain combo in this deck. Say you have Repercussion out, and you play Blasphemous Act. It kills two creatures that any given player controls theoretically. Would that player take 13 damage or 26 damage?

Nevinyrral_Mayor_of_Urborg he and a ton of other changes will be in here soon! Have to finish testing before updating.
ScionsStillLive Bothe that Chandra and Power Surge are out because they don't do damage on my turn, which is when I need stuff to happen. This is not a pressure deck, though I can see versions of Neheb pressure being good. Just not for me. Thanks for the comment.
Dothurnaax That player who controls two creatures would take 26. That's the power of repurcussion. Now Imagine a token deck with 10 tokens and I cast Flamebreak . That's 30 to the face along with having their board destroyed. Thanks for the question.
Imminent changes
I will be piloting this deck at Magic Fest OKC next weekend, and will be testing out a ton of changes, so big update coming. If you'd like to check them out, you can here: AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT | Neheb II. Thanks all!

Thoughts on the the new swords from modern horizons?
I feel like sinew and steel could be pretty good since Neheb does most of the swinging to generate mana and you get the plus of hitting walkers or artifacts.
