A story we need to hear more around here. brofist

Above all, it really needs a more focused strategy. Is it ramp? Humans? creaturesmashfacecontrol? Pod, even?

?'s depend on preference and metagame.

Cards that should probably go out:Stonehorn Dignitary Carnage Wurm Titanic Growth card:Butcher's CleaverVillage Bell-Ringer ?Mayor of Avabruck  Flip  FlipMTG Card: Howlpack Alpha?Lumberknot ?

Cards that you might look at:Travel Preparations (definite 4 of)Doomed Traveler (more or less, depends)card:Avacyn's PilgrimAcidic Slime Garruk (any/all)Mirran Crusader Caravan Vigil Gut Shot ?Viridian Emissary ?Sideboard stuff:Celestial Purge Creeping Corrosion Timely Reinforcements sided?Witchbane Orb ?Giant Spider outcard:Angel's Mercy outIf you'd like justification or clarification on any point, feel free to ask. Good luck and happy Magicking! Give your sis my best wishes.

sweet, 2-2!

A neat card with Lumberknot would be Divine Reckoning ...

I like the list just some cards need more multiples, Doomed Traveler needs more than 1 copy as he becomes another creature when he dies.

Hey good for her, always nice when a nube goes 2-2 at the start, although when one of my friends started he went 3-1 and was win in 1st and lose in 6th, but on the bright side, not bad for a rookie.

Extremely inconsistent and no real gameplay plan imho.

How do you win? Hope for a good draw and just attack?

This deck could either need card:Green Sun's Zenith or Birthing Pod (and a fitting curve) for consistency reasons. E.g. getting you Tree of Redemption when you need it.

Birthing Pod could act as gameplay plan, other possible plans or themes could be GW Humans (obviously more humans), resilent stuff (like Thrun!)+ equipment or plain and simple GW Aggro. For a real GW Aggro plan you would need to focus a lot more on aggressive creatures and on your mana curve.

Following cards don't really fit into an aggro plan, at least mainboard.

1x Suture Priest1x Stonehorn Dignitary1x Carnage Wurm2x Tree of Redemption1x Lumberknot

You should rather add more impact aggressive creatures like Hero of Bladehold and Blade Splicer .

Beside my harsh sounding words(?): For starters a quite nice deck non the less!

I like the deck, but it does need to be more focused in the sideboard and mainboard. Then it will be more consistent.

This sort of reminds me of turbo fog. Maybe consider adding blue and Venser, the Sojourner .

I've found that with newbie decks, tutors are a BLESSING while the deck waits for more good cards (and are still good even after). card:Green Sun's Zenith would be an excellent card to go looking for.

Looking at the cards, I think that the deck would make an excellent token deck. Parallel Lives would make Mayor of Avabruck  Flip  FlipMTG Card: Howlpack Alpha, Doomed Traveler , and Timely Reinforcements all make more tokens. Village Bell-Ringer and Gavony Township are now much more useful. And Lumberknot + Divine Reckoning are an unexpected win condition; no one really expects you to wipe your field of tokens, and then you get a gigantic beast to tear through whatever monster your opponent left standing.

I hope your sister enjoys playing! :)

Thanks for all of the feedback and constructive criticism.

She is really digging the game, and will be going to her second FNM this week.

We will be tweaking the deck this week, and I will post the updates later.
