the red dragon is very strong
as soon as it drops it instantly becomes the biggest priority target which means at the very least it eats a removal spell, Bolts, and then leaves the way open for Stormbreath to swoop in

at the very least you'll want to switch out Mind Rot for Augur of Skulls

I play a deck like this and something I've definitely noticed is that cards that do things when your opponent discard like Waste Not and the above mentioned Abyssal Nocturnus tend to have a shelf life. Once you get to a point where your opponent is top decking then their effects basically become null and void. I think there is some different version of this deck that utilizes Waste Not, Lily's Caress, Dark Deal, etc but I feel like this is not it.
Cards you might be interested in instead are cards that will keep Ensnaring Bridge active such as Necrogen Mists. Obviously if you can afford Liliana of the Veil she is a winner here. Mind Rot is a card you should get rid of. Get some removal in such as Dismember or perhaps a sweeper like Black Sun's Zenith
As far as creatures go I haven't found one that really clicked for me. The deck I'm running right now literally has none. I think I might try out Pack Rat and Mutavault. Another thought I had was to run a copy of Empty the Pits. I always end up with an enormous amount of cards in the yard so that could be something.
