Sideboard

This deck originated from Sultai Counters. It's gone through many many revisions and is probably the deck I've worked on the most. The most recent revision isn't listed there though. I added Red and Harnessed Lightning and overall I felt the deck was very good, even with 4 colors. However, it did feel a bit too weak verse control.

I then saw the Temur Tower deck and wanted to build that as well. Trophy Tower was the initial list I was going to build. After I designed it and started piecing it together I noticed how similar it was to my current list. Both included Trophy Mage and my current list already had 8 instants and sorceries. I thought... why not put them in the same list by using my sideboard for Tower? I went ahead an did this and it appeared to work out quite nicely, having room for all the necessities of Tower.

Multi Counters (Tower sided) is how the list will look with Tower sided in.

It's a bit light on counter spells, but I feel makes up for this with its creatures. Constrictor also makes up for only having 20 instants and sorceries by creating additional energy. Also, with Tower sided, I feel the deck is more resistant to control. It also will be a surprise to an opponent to see the list so drastically changed.

It's also worth noting that I felt I had to take out Red to support the manabase better after I sideboarded in Tower. This is partly due to losing Servant of the Conduit. I also wanted the deck to feel more consistent. Die Young is a fairly weak replacement though. If I feel it's not working out I'll add Red back in.

The old version went 2-2 (nearly 3-1) last week at FNM, so I'm hopeful this change is an improvement.
