WARNING: This deck is likely to be terribad, so if you're looking for a good deck to bring to FNM or whatever, this isn't it. If you wanna play a competitive/functional version of this deck, I'd be flattered if you made a more streamlined version of it. That said, this isn't going to be that. This is intended to be the silliest nonsense imaginable for Johnny-players such as myself to drool over the magical christmas-land scenarios of.

That out of the way, let's get to the actual deck. So when Cryptolith Rite was released juuuuust as Jeskai Ascendancy rotated out of Standard, I was kinda bummed. But now I hear there's this format called Frontier, in which I get to do the thing! Follow me on this journey, if you will.

  • Starting out we have the Cryptolith Rite + Jeskai Ascendancy combo which makes any noncreature spell with CMC less than or equal to the number of creatures we control free.

  • So we want lots of creatures. For that we have tokens a plenty (Dragon Fodder, Hordeling Outburst, Monastery Mentor, Secure the Wastes, Raise the Alarm and Servo Exhibition as well as Nissa, Voice of Zendikar who we side in against slower match-ups(?) I think? I can't remember the last time I played a full on best-of-3. Anyway!)

  • Most of these token-makers are free if we can give the tokens haste. This is why we need the other Ascendancy (Temur Ascendancy)

  • So now we have a bunch of free token makers spewing out tokens that make more of our token makers free and we can most likely just dump our hand. This will likely win us the game (or at least get us a fair bit in that direction), but why stop there? We need some way to refill our hand! Temur Ascendancy would have done that if we had some way of giving our creatures +3 power as a static effect. However, the only cards that do that in Magic are Archangel of Strife and Collective Blessing, neither of which is legal in Frontier. So, we'll have to do that the old fashioned way. For this we have Glimmer of Genius, which is... fine. It lets us scry and gives us some bonus activations of Aether Hub (which is actually irrelevant since we're making tonnes of mana of all colors at this point anyway). We have some other card for this as well, uuh... it's probably not that interesting since I can't remember it. Oh wait! It's Shamanic Revelation! This card... we should probably be careful with so we don't deck ourselves. That said, have you ever drawn ten cards? You should try drawing ten cards! It's pretty great!

  • Okay, so, where does that leave us? With a board full of buffed creatures and a hand-full of free spells? What do you mean "already winning"? That's quitter talk! After drawing just all the cards (any more and we would just lose), we cast our free Aetherflux Reservoir, cast some more free spells triggering Reservoir (electing not to loot with Jeskai Ascendancy, 'cause, again, we'd just lose) and then we activate Reservoir, hope our opponent doesn't have Summary Dismissal , or the new one, Disallow, and theeeeen we win.

That should be it! Phew! Thanks for reading! Comments and upvotes are both welcome!
