Benthic Infiltrator becomes essentially a 4/4 that can't be blocked and is pumped by Tide Drifter, which itself is essentially a 5/5.

Shape the Sands is now an instant speed +5/5 buff with Reach for .

Taigam's Scheming , Anticipate to dig through for Assault Formation or ditch lands after I get 4 down.

Jeskai Barricade can save a creature and is essentially a 4/4.

Negate to counter board wipes or Erase.

Valorous Stance for anything that's too unwieldy (Eldrazi/Rhino) or save a creature.

Profaner of the Dead has the potential to be a one-sided board wipe and works as mass token removal.

Sidisi's Faithful can slow the opponent down or be a 4/4 for .

Embodiment of Spring is cheap butt and can mana fix.

Could add some Windswept Heaths to make it better, but ups the cost considerably.
