Using a mixture of Phyrexian Elves and Elves from the dual deck Elves vs. Goblins, I've tossed together a low cost, infection deck that doubles as an elf ramp deck. The end game used to be Nissa Revane but decided that Contagion Engine with the whole slew of Viridian elves would deal out more poison counters than could be handled. So far I've found this to be true!

Not looking to spend much more on this, but still looking for helpful input! I'm thinking about picking up a play set of Spidersilk Armor but not sure yet. The only issue I've found so far is defending against flying but usually I'm able to keep their creatures at bay long enough to stack up enough mana and poison counters.
