The key to winning with the Blessed deck is to take advantage of creatures with abilities that trigger upon entering the battlefield as much as possible. Cards like Fiend Hunter and Slayer of the Wicked will slow your opponent down, and you can access their effects additional times with Momentary Blink and Eerie Interlude.

Your opponent will try to trade creatures with you on a one-for-one basis because many of his or her creatures return from the dead. You should avoid those trades as much as possible, using your life total as a resource to stave off making bad exchanges in combat. Keep in mind that the Cursed deck will often try to force your hand with aggressive attacks, preying on your fear of taking damage.

One of the advantages the Blessed deck has over the Cursed deck is a high number of flying creatures. While many of these creatures are at their best later in the game, they can give your deck a huge advantage in a standstill. Gain life to stay ahead of your opponent’s attacks and send your fliers into combat, eating away at his or her life total until there’s nothing left.

The Blessed deck can also turn the tables, rushing the Cursed deck instead. Hands with Champion of the Parish and Geist of Saint Traft are often very strong for you. These creatures are able to deal a lot of damage early in the game, especially if you can protect them long enough to make multiple attacks. If you can avoid trading creatures and keep getting in for damage, it’s not going to be difficult for you to win the game.
