Spectral Gateguards
Creature — Spirit Soldier
Soulbond (You may pair this creature with another unpaired creature when either enters the battlefield. They remain paired for as long as you control both of them.)
As long as Spectral Gateguards is paired with another creature, both creatures have vigilance.

Cryptolith Rite is awesome.
Ivorytusk Fortress just gives your creatures vigilance unless you have some way to take advantage of tapping your creatures during other players' turns (Cryptolith Rite counts, as do Glare of Subdual and Earthcraft). Without either a critical mass of tap-abusing cards or tutors to fetch them, Ivorytusk Fortress isn't much better than Spectral Gateguards. For the record, last time I computed critical mass for EDH, it ended up being around 10-12 cards (depending on how many cards a given deck tended to draw over the course of a game).
