I thought the zubera were amazing ever since i saw them. The only problem is, they aren't tough, they aren't useful in life and you need to have a lot of them to deal serious damage to your opponents. boardwipes like Wrath of God and Chain Reaction are your best friends in this deck.

You want to play as much zubera creatures as possible (with protection with cards like Athreos, God of Passage and/or Ghostly Prison ) and then blow them all up.

Note that it doesn't matter who owns a zubera when it dies. If your opponent has zuberas who also die with a boardwipe then those will add up as well. thats where Shields of Velis Vel comes in. Before you blow up everything. You change your opponent's creatures to zubera (and all other types) with Shields of Velis Vel . Once you've done that, you just activate Wrath of God , Damnation , Chain Reaction etc. and you will deal a huge amount of damage with Ember-Fist Zubera , you'll get alot of tokens with Dripping-Tongue Zubera , gain life with Silent-Chant Zubera and you get alot of hand control with Ashen-Skin Zubera and Floating-Dream Zubera .

normally i don't like to have many creatures that aren't part of the tribe, but Athreos, God of Passage is a monster in this deck. When a zubera dies and hits the grave, the effects pop up and you will probably get your zubera back (or your opponent takes 3 damage, which is also nice). Also, Athreos, God of Passage is immune to Wrath of God , Damnation etc.
