Arboria is a funky, cool-looking and colour-pie-agnostic offering from that always wacky card type, the Enchant World! It renders each player immune to attack so long as they don't play a spell or put a card into play on their turn. Well, having your opponent off your back is very desirable, but how can you expect to get ahead if you can't play anything?

Well, a funny thing about Arboria is that it only forswears spells on your own turn. You can play whatever you want on your opponent's turn, meaning instants and cards with Flash are all fair game. Sprout Swarm can be played again and again wildly on your foe's turn, building up an army without fear of counterattack. Glademuse earns you extra cards each time you do so, and Hermit of the Natterknolls   punishes your foe if he tries to do the same - and since you're trying not to play anything on your own turn, it's likely he'll often flip!

Another key point is that Arboria only cares if you put cards into play on your turn... tokens are still kosher. So Nightpack Ambusher and Hollowhenge Overlord can both be shuttled into play on your opponent's turn, and then pop out tokens on each of your turn without breaking the peace. Talk about synergy!

Something that's easy to miss with Arboria is that it doesn't like any card being put into play on your turn, even lands! Halting your mana base for the sake of security is a big ask, but thankfully there are ways around it. Sakura-Tribe Scout lets you keep making land drops on your foe's turn when it's safe to do so, and Natural Connection is a somewhat overcosted but instant-speed way to do a bit of ramp. That should keep you on track!

Okay, so you kept your precious hide safe all this time - how do we win? You've stockpiled 30 tokens and could steamroll your foe in one attack, but if the danger's that obvious, he can also hold back on cards to enjoy Arboria's protection. Asides from taking out your Enchant World with Sundering Growth to make that alpha strike, I figured the most reliable way in green for an army to kill your opponent without attacking was... Altar of Dementia! Ditch all those tokens to deck your foe regardless of his life total. Hey, nobody said solitude meant safety!
