This is what I belive is the currently best zombie deck in modern.

While not the fastest out there, this deck capitalizes on the one advantage zombies have over other tribes: it's resiliency. This gives this deck the edge over other similar decks. Wrath effects won't be enough to stop it, since the zombies will slowly but surely come back from the graveyard. It also doesn't really mind targeted removal: while an exiled Death Baron will set you back for a couple of turns, zombies are multiple and expendable. One may think a Rest in Peace type effect stops this one on it's tracks. One would assume wrong, since once without graveyard the deck still functions as a aggresive tribal list, with eficient creatures with relevant abilities beyond the graveyard. All in all, it's a really solid list that aims to kill on turn ~5.
  • - Gain life against burn and hit at the other side of an Ensnaring Bridge with Wayward Servant.
  • - Move past blockers with Death Baron and Relentless Dead.
  • - Control the board with Tidehollow Sculler, Liliana and a bunch of removal spells, and fill it with zombies with a huge Diregraf Colossus.
  • - And, of course, combe back from the death in a bunch of different ways.
  • - Discard a Gravecrawler to a card:Crypbreaker to get a free zombie!
  • - Drain your opponent quickly with Wayward Servant the tokens generated by Diregraf Colossus!
  • - Kill your own Geralf's Messenger with Collective Brutality to get through those last points of damage!
  • - Kill your own Gravecrawler with Liliana, the Last Hope each turn to get those juicy cast and etb triggers!
  • And so on. Everything cares about everything in this deck.
    • I started playing mtg around 2012, and the "Relentless Dead" intro pack was the first deck I owned. This deck has been the result of years of learning how to play the game and properly brew decks, and my trusty companion for a long time. When I play this deck I feel I can win against any other modern deck there is. It may not be that good irl, but it is that way for me.
