I have been working a jund deck. Jund can run Putrefy
, Terminate
, Dreadbore
, Abrupt Decay
, Murder
, Unmake
and Hero's Downfall
for your creature killing needs. With all that selection, you can drop Lightning Bolt
with impunity. If you aren't having much trouble with enchantments, they can solve your Beast Within
issues as well. Planeswalkers die quickly when opponents can't keep creatures out. I really like your creature selection. I'd been having trouble picking things out for mine. I especially like Vexing Devil
and Death's Shadow
with Varolz, the Scar-Striped
. I may run that combo. +1 for sure.

Anyone think I should add World at War to replace the frenzied tilling?

Love Demigod. He works great with cards like Faithless Looting and Grisly Salvage that fill your graveyards.

Neither of the demigods are any good at all. Only card from Theros that sees play in Modern would be Thoughtsieze (which you should run!).

I like Demigod of Revenge; I hate the Born of the Gods demigods. lol

Really? the new BR god reads with demigod of revenge (the turn after mogis) attack for 12 5 flying and 7 indestructible sense mogis counts for two of his own devotion

He's either a free shock or a free diabolic edict plus he looks crazy and would be my new cover card for the deck

I'm leaning towards mogis now not sure what to take out though

And if you get an ashenmoore liege with mogis out you have a 9/7 indestructible you just need 2 more R/B devotion which isn't hard in this deck

This is an interesting take on Jund. If you have the time, I was wondering if you could explain why you chose not to take certain cards that are almost ubiquitous in Jund like Tarmogoyf , Dark Confidant or Deathrite Shaman . You have a frightening list even without those cards, so I can understand in a general sense that they might not have been a good fit with your take.
I would recommend a few basic lands. If Path to Exile can go one to one against your deck, you're slowing yourself down a bit against white, especially control.
Nice list, all things considered. A few basic lands would probably be my only complaint if Tarmogoyf is cost prohibitive, as it so often is.

That's the main reason I don't run tarmogoyf for sure over 400 dollars for a play set is crazy to me. I will probably put basics in the sideboard for those decks hadn't really crossed my mind thanks for the help and suggestions

Fair enough on the Goyfs :P I like the consistency of your land base as it is, but I playtested my deck against yours and was really happy to throw around Path to Exile on your Dreg Mangler s. Something worth considering for even the main deck, despite how much I love the main deck mana you have here. Even 1x Mountain , 1x Forest and 1x Swamp would do it honestly

Ok removed 3 woodland cemetery as red is more common and those don't produce red thanks for the help and I'm thinking about removing dreg mangler for a playset of Boggart Ram-Gang thoughts?

I rather like the Dreg Mangler . In the games I played against your deck, if my Path to Exile was Lightning Bolt I might have lost. The scavenge gives Dreg Mangler a lot more value than Boggart Ram-Gang 's wither in my opinion, at least against control.
Keep the Dreg Mangler .

Ok to answer your very first question I wanted to try something new instead of copy and pasting a deck, deck after deck I saw had those three guys and it was kinda disappointing
January 23, 2014 8:27 p.m.
Demigod of Revenge is a great card, but I think it costs too much for your deck. You probably want to curve out as high as 4. I'd replace it with something like Stromkirk Noble or Goblin Guide or something fast and cheap.

Funny thing is that he got a pretty much almost reprint in M14 with Ogre Battledriver most people won't agree with me but it's the hellrider of standard right now IMO

Cool deck. How about Blightning or Rip-Clan Crasher ? +1

Couple of things about goyf, the rediculous price which if did add would about double the overall price and goyf is not really an Aggro without the right cards and that it wouldn't be properly used in this Aggro deck. When I first made the deck blighting was a major contender to be in it but I don't feel like I would use it as much, for example if I had a dreg mangler and a hellrider in my hand I would play the mangler over the blightning everytime. And for the rip-can clasher I feel like the jester is more suited for an Aggro deck than the clasher even though jester dies to almost every removal out there it's more effective but thank you for suggestions and +1

Glad to see someone understands that Goyf isn't an auto-include in decks with Forests. +1

You've got a lot of fun looking cards in here. Unfortunately because of having a lot of different cards that are only singles it can cause the build to lose out on consistency. I also think the deck could probably use some ramp. But I can't help really liking a lot of the cards in here, I'm gonna put it in my folder so I can playtest it later and see how it works.
