Lots of counters through Corpsejack Menace. Still not sure of the correct creatures for this deck...

Really like the interplay between Corpsejack Menace and Desecration Demon but they are both 4-drops so that's not so great for the mana curve. Also Desecration Demon works well with Varolz, the Scar-Striped.

Also thought of a cool trick with Gyre Sage and Burst of Strength: Tap Gyre Sage for one mana after he gets a +1/+1 counter from evolving when I play another creature, then cast Burst of Strength on him untapping him and giving him another counter (or two if Corpsejack Menace is in play), then tap him again for more mana.
