Deadeye Navigator and clone creatures like Progenitor Mimic would be amazing in this type of deck.

I've been playing around with this on the playtester and it's pretty consistent without having to copy some of these creatures. Would some of these creatures be hilarious to copy? Absolutely, but it's not warranted. The deck is pretty powerful as is, but I have always liked Progenitor Mimic . What would you suggest I replace it with?

I think you have so much ramp that a card like Viridian Emissary isn't really necessary.

September 28, 2013 11:24 p.m.

Oh dude you have NO idea how much ramp is in this deck, maybe too much for normal standards .w. I'll drop the Emissary for Progenitor Mimic . Thanks for the feedback! :)

No problem, but I really think Deadeye Navigator is better, because you can repeatedly blink your general for tons of cards

September 28, 2013 11:38 p.m.

That is true, but I don't wanna add a card just cause it synergies best with only one card. I don't need to blink the mana fetchers cause I ramp quite fast as is. I mean, I casted Boundless Realms turn 5 and had 20 lands total on the field on turn 5. That's insane.

That being said blinking Craterhoof Behemoth a whole bunch of times would be fun.

Deadeye is great with anything that has an ETB ability, which admittedly you don't have that many but still...

Also...

Fray the strings,

Throw the shapes,

Hold your breath,

Listen!

@MindAblaze! What would you suggest I remove then? I can see SOME synergy with stuff but, to me it just doesn't seem worth it.

Frontier Guide is really slow. It changes your curve a bit but you've already stated that sometimes you have way more ramp than you need anyway.

In the end if it doesn't feel good to you don't do it. The card's degenerate if ETB abilities are abused and you do have a few good ones like Sylvan Primordial but if you think it's just going to sit there and be basically a removal deterrent than don't do it. It's not the worst thing to include cards that only really synergize with your commander though.

I think I'm a fence-sitter on this topic lol.

It gets way better if you add Eternal Witness and Snapcaster Mage ...

September 30, 2013 6:55 p.m.

Eternal Witness would be good in this deck. Any suggestions for both Deadeye Navigator and Eternal Witness ?

Krosan Cloudscraper ? I guess it's one of those "set it and forget it" kinda cards.

I really like the hydra theme in here btw.

September 30, 2013 10:23 p.m.

Dude, when you're ramping this hard you CAN'T have Hydras in it XD True enough, I"ll make the change :)

Hmm... also, if you add black, you could have mimic cards like Evil Twin , and also add Lazav, Dimir Mastermind and Varolz, the Scar-Striped .

Also, solution to the no commander problem? The Mimeoplasm !

October 2, 2013 12:09 a.m.

@artakha: I had Khalni Hydra in here but it just proived to not be so useful. Kalonian Hydra IS in the deck XD Sword of Body and Mind does nothing to aid this deck. I prefer Simic, not BUG.

Well, fuck. I didn't see you already had a Kalonian Hydra . Sorry!

How does Sword of Body and Mind not help? You're making 2/2 wolves each attack. Equip it to Kalonian Hydra . XD

+1 for Zegana being Slipknot's new lead vocalist

I am entertained by your fatties or bust approach to EDH. This deck will win games outright off the backs of most of its creatures.

You have a weakness to fast decks, but there aren't too many decks like that in EDH. Avoid Zur and Rafiq. There's not much you can do here. Zur and Rafiq are pretty much made to be jerks like that.

While your all-in approach is fun, your deck doesn't handle weird situations very well. If you start falling behind dropping just one big creature often won't save you. Since you only get 99 single cards, it's usually a good idea to have a bunch of them do more than one thing at once.

You can look into cards like Indrik Stomphowler , Duplicant , and pretty much any decent-sized creature that has value immediately once it hits the battlefield. Take a look at my Every Day I'm Wanderin' for more ideas. Just ignore the red. My Maelstrom deck has a similar fatties theme, but I also try to have just enough answers to not care.

Also disclaimer it hasn't been updated in a while.

Thanks for taking a look at my deck. I love fatties cause it's always fun to see a huge creature just slaughter your opponent lol

I have a friend who plays an Obzedat, Ghost Council EDH deck and another who plays Sheoldred, Whispering One . Both don't run many kill spells, but both aren't very fast either.

The basic concept here is to kill them with fatties, but then there is the Helix Pinnacle to help me win if I can't outright flatten them, or draw myself out with Laboratory Maniac on the field. My friends don't run artifacts or if they do, it's only a couple. Indrik Stomphowler I can use as they do run plenty of enchantments. What should I take out?

October 5, 2013 12:56 p.m.

Probably Myojin of Seeing Winds . Zegana gives all the draw power you'll need, and a 3/3 for 10 isn't exactly above the curve.

October 6, 2013 8:38 p.m.

Prime Speaker Zegana is only good a s a draw engine if I can have/KEEP the big beefy creatures out. On top of this it can be killed in response to its ETB whereas I can remove the counter from the Myojin of Seeing Winds to draw a card for each permanent (that's at minimum 8 cards). That and I already traded for one. I was actually thinking Plated Slagwurm
