Progress —Sept. 5, 2014

This deck has been doing very well so far within our limited meta.

Any suggestions and criticism would be greatly appreciated.

What about Geist of Saint Traft? I think he would be crazy good in this deck.

And Eiphara, God of the Polis.

@Spicy526 - I'd love to try Geist of Saint Traft , he'd certainly hit harder than most of the creatures in here. I doubt I'll put him in though, for two reasons:

1) He doesn't facilitate any card draw, which is what I like this deck to do (and it wins consistently)

2) I'm not a millionaire.

Ephara, God of the Polis might work very well. I'll proxy her in. What do you suggest I replace with her?

To be honest, I think Drogskul Reaver could be taken out. Along with the Supreme Judge.

I'll replace them with two Ephara, and see how it plays. Cheers!

If you want, you can feel free to check out the deck that I posted on my webpage recently on tappedout.net. It's called Arozius Beatdown.I based it off of yours; but, I gave it more of a creature control feel to it.

I really like the Hindering Light s but I think you really need something with hexproof. I played the deck against a couple of decks and the creatures never got through due to the amount of removal. Either something with hexproof (such as Geist of Saint Traft or maybe add green and do bant or add the 4th Hindering Light .

Geist of Saint Traft is out of my price range, unfortunately!

Perhaps I should side in a set of Gods Willing for protection from removal. It's currently balanced between shutting down creature heavy decks and a little protection from burn/Doom Blade style offense with the hard cancel spells. I guess it needs to go one way or the other, with the other type of spells in the side.

What do you think?

Have you considered running Slippery Bogle really intriguing first line btw. It's what made me take a look where I normally shy away from control

Dispel is sub par counter replace with Remand or Spell Pierce or Mana Leak or Condescend or well you get the point , scry land's and azorious chancery make me wanna cry. replace with Hallowed Fountain and Adarkar Wastes also sideboard add Suppression Field Leyline of Sanctity Stony Silence Grafdigger's Cage etc , take out cyclonic rift and add Path to Exile and maybe Swords to Plowshares all these card's are pretty cheap maybe AEther Vial

I like the look of Mana Leak , I'll get hold of some of those.

The scry lands and particularly Azorius Chancery are very important here - the former helps me build my combos and the latter synergises with Hidden Strings . I don't need the speed that shock lands provide here.

I would quite like to try Path to Exile , that would be awesome.

I'm not looking to play competitively, so I'm not worrying overmuch about Golgari decks or what have you. I very much like the sound of AEther Vial though, top choice.

Have you considered Aqueous Form for extra scry? Consign to Dream sided against red or green decks could be very fun with Daxos of Meletis

Hey Dusk, sure - Aqueous Form used to be in the deck, and it's getting to the point where I'd very much like to put it back in, though I'm not sure how I'd fit it in. Do you have suggestions?

And I've just realised the combo that Consign to Dream forms with Daxos of Meletis ! That is awesome! Return Deus of Calamity to library, aaaand now it's mine. It'd need either a lot of mana open, or a well set-up Hidden Strings though, in some cases. I'll look into it, thanks!

I think the mana could be a minor issue, since Daxos enables you to cast also lands from your opponent's library. I thought that Fireshrieker could be useful too. Personally, I don't think Ajani has a place in this deck, but the choice is up to you.

I'm going to play this deck, if you don't mind... I'll make a few adjustments, and I'll post results. +1 from me!
