Hello all Magic players. This deck is something i've been working on for a bit now. I have always loved tempo and aggressive strategies with good removal and disruption. This is an aggro tempo Jeskai (Murica) list I have been playing with. Below is where I will break down my card choices, please feel free to add suggestions and idea's.
Removal/Disruption
Lightning Bolt is a staple in modern and will always be an instant include.
Lightning Helix is a well rounded card and the extra life gain always feels good. Was at 3 but I have never had any complains with having extra.
Path to Exile One of the best removal options in modern. Not at 4 because it does give a slight advantage to the opponent and I would rather then not ramp over me too much.
Remand Good in this deck because it slows down the opponent a turn and gives me more time to kill them.
Counterspell A good counter spell especially in the early games, Can save a creature or stop one of theirs from dropping in.
Creatures
Snapcaster Mage Another card that needs no introduction or defending. Also fun with Restoration Angel
Restoration Angel This is a card I am playing with. This has many uses in this deck. This can be a surprise blocker at the least but this primarily will help me 2 for 1 the opponent. If they try and kill something bringing this down will save it and give you a 3/4 flyer which is not bad. Has a fun synergy with Snapcaster Mage if needed in a time of need. This is something I would like some feedback on so please feel free to comment.
Delver of Secrets
Now, I know this card is one that does get discussed/argued about, however, this thing can be flipped fairly consistently in this deck and can get some good damage in. If anything else it is something that will need an answer. I wont be unhappy if this dies but that is one less thing for the opponent to use later on.
Geist of Saint Traft This is the primary win condition in the deck. Is can be hard to kill especially with Eiganjo Castle. This is a solid source of damage with it usually hitting for 6. Restoration Angel works well to keep it alive when it attacks. Overall I have found this to be a solid performer.
Other
Serum Visions One of the best draw spells in modern, easy include. Was consideringOpt? Let me know of your thoughts on it.
