StopShot on Innistrad: Midnight Hunt and Crimson …

Given some of the card throwbacks as spoilers, I had a card idea. A lot of people are comparing the black removal spell as an upgrade to Doom Blade. Doom Blade’s mirror opposite is Purge. (Technically, its the opposite of Terror.) White has also had similar removal in the form of Cleansing Ray.

So the black spell is a better Doom Blade and the red spell is a better Shock. What if for white they wanted to make a better Disenchant, but also make it a thematic throwback card to something iconic to Innistrad? (ex. Victim of Night)

kanokarob, that is not what I said: I am worried that WotC will be excessive, such as by banning Angel of Jubilation, because it provides bonuses to non-black creatures, or Purge, because it specifically states "destroy target black creature," and so forth. Racism is very bad, but banning anything that is even slightly offensive is very much an overreaction.

where does it end?

Mob Mentality is making things worse.

what about these cards? do people think that i want to Purge the black creatures?

or Rashka the Slayer a fighter who is skilled at killing black creatures.

or Shadowbane it shows a racially black character, and says prevent damage from source, unless its black, then do that and gain that much life cuz its black.

or Enslave what if i cast this targeting a black creature? "I Enslave your black creature!"

or Choking Restraints with the george floyd and shaver and many other incidents...

seriously, this is getting ridiculous, and i can find many more cards that could be reached for as racially insensitive.

It sounds like you have quite an issue on your hands and now is the time to form some kind of Blessed Alliance. I'm willing to lend you some Borrowed Grace in order to defeat the menacing Eldrazi. With our Collective Effort we should be able to Purge the world of this evil. What do you think about a temporary Cease-Fire?

Misschien dat je Glare of Heresy kan spelen in plaats van Purge. Purge is dan wel een instant maar hij werkt enkel op creatures. Artifacts een kleurtje geven moet nou ook niet direct een probleem zijn. Zeker niet met Eight-and-a-Half-Tails erbij.

Heaven's Gate weet ik ook nog niet, hij maakt Martyr's Cry wel een stukje beter, maar het is enkel until end of turn en enkel op white. Ik denk dat ik snel redenen kan verzinnen om Purelace of Niveous Wisps te gaan spelen aangezien ze beiden een meer definitief effect hebben (Wel maar op n permanent)

Verder ziet het deck er ondertussen erg gaaf uit. Mogelijk dat je Teferi's Moat nog ergens erin kan passen, is sowieso al een redelijk sterke kaart en samen met Shifting Sky en Light of Day een flink sterk setje.

Als je Iona, Shield of Emeria overigens op een gegeven moment zat bent kan je hem zeker vervangen door Stormtide Leviathan!

Since you already have Isochron Scepter, you could try something like Divine Offering or Purge to get rid of artifacts. A more traditional sideboard option is Stony Silence, but it's pretty expensive. For burn, you may just be able to keep out of range by gaining life every turn. You could try flickering something like Cathedral Sanctifier or even Inquisitor Exarch, or you might just put a Rest for the Weary on a stick. Elixir of Immortality is already fairly strong against mill, but Quest for Ancient Secrets is another option. There's also always Wheel of Sun and Moon if you ever decided to break budget.
