Recover819 After using this for a few games, you can't rely on blinking the morph. With all the mana acceleration I can usually hard cast Abzan Guide/Ponyback Brigade by turn 3 on a good curve.

T1: Tap-Land or; Land, Utopia Sprawl or Arbor Elf

T2: Land, Utopia Sprawl, Arbor Elf, or Voyaging Satyr (If Sprawl or T1 Arbor Elf then you can play a morph here.)

T3: Can usually hardcast or flip a giant morph on this turn. It's a very satisfying play to have a 7/4 trampling common or have 5/5 P/T accross 4 creatures here.

Let me know about that blue btw. I was considering it but I like what black brought to the table against control postboard and Abzan Guide/Ponyback Brigade hard casts are great too.

To make as clear as possible, if the Primordial Hydra was a 14/14, you would take 10 damage and lose the game, after Souls of the Faultless' ability triggered, but before the trigger was put on the stack (and long before the trigger would resolve).

Alternatively, if the Primordial Hydra was a 14/14 and you blocked with a Abzan Guide you would take 10 damage and gain 4 life, leaving you at 4 life without having to worry about anything triggering or having to use the stack.

If the Primordial Hydra had first strike and a lifelink blocker did not, you would lose the 10 life before gaining any life and would still lose. If the blocker had first strike and the hydra did not, you would gain the life before even taking the damage, and end up in a similar situation to the first lifelink example where you did not lose.
