Do you enjoy playing unique decks?

First off this deck's name comes from Blustersquall and Downpour which it was originally based on.

This deck is designed to Control creatures. If I still have 10 life or better by turn four (without blocking more than once or twice), I should be able stop my opponent's creatures from ever (successfully) attacking again.

The average turn cycle after about turn four involves:

1 - tapping out opponent's creatures on their turn after main-phase one. (Or during my main phases with sleep)

2 - Then swing all (depending on if they played new blockers in main-phase 2).

3 - Draw lots of cards.

4 - Pass turn, repeat.

I don't deal a lot of damage per turn but I can attack over and over again without retaliation because I can tapout/unsummon ALL creatures I don't control with several cards.

Judge's Familiar may seem like an odd fit at first, but he is my chump blocker/ one drop / possible buddy for Tandem Lookout/ "spellskite"

Shimmering Grotto is in there so that I can play the cards I gain control of with Nightveil Specter. You never know what you're gunna get, and that's a fun concept in it'self.

I chose to use Rewind as my counter spell because I often save 4 mana for Blustersquall after their main-phase one anyway, if a worth while spell is cast, it costs me NOTHING but a card in hand to stop it.

This deck does pretty badly the first game against a NON-Creature deck like Red deck wins with a focus on instant spells. But this deck controls creature based decks insanely well once it is set up.

I have played this at a few FMN's but I never put together a sideboard until just now so that's probably the part of this deck that needs the most comments / attention.

I love how this deck is so incredibly inexpensive, and so incredibly unique. If nothing else, it's just entertaining to play and that's the whole point of magic cards!

I played this deck in a 4 way multiplayer match the other day. Other players were spawning hordes of Saproling or doubling their life totals. I had sided in Undead Alchemist because I happened to know that I could never keep up with the life totals my friend would create. While my opponent's built large defensive armies I collected a 12 card hand and 4 copies of Undead Alchemist using him and Cackling Counterpart.

Someone played Coat of Arms making my Undead Alchemists 7/5's. (My deck was the only standard one being played)

I tapped out a player's defenders and swung just the 4 Undead Alchemists.

Each undead alchemist hit for 7 "mill damage" for a total of 28. That 28 "damage" by zombies proc'd Undead Alchemist's first ability 4 times.

All this together milled my opponent for 112 cards!

I asked him how many creatures were left in his deck and spawned that many 2/2 zombie tokens. :)

For a standard deck I am very happy with it's performance in a multiplayer format!
