Let's get started with what makes this deck work.

What you want as a dream combo is to get out Cathars' Crusade at all costs. If you do, you automatically get a bunch of super-boosted tokens that will easily overwhelm your measly opponents. Example: I have a Cathars' Crusade, and play a Conquerer's Pledge (w/o kicker). I then have 6 7/7 creature tokens on turn 5. Easy win.

If you do not have Cathars' Crusade, odds are that you WILL have plenty of other boosting cards such as Honor of the Pure or Spear of Heliod, to effectively double all of your creatures' killing power.

I have won this game by rushing my opponent with a bunch of 7/7 creatures, but I have also won by rushing them with countless (high teens) of 2/2 creatures. So, this deck is quite versatile.


Key Combos:

Cathars' Crusade+Secure the Wastes/Conqueror's Pledge WIll dominate the board. Every. Single. Time.

Rest for the Weary+Rhox Faithmender I mean, gaining 8 health for 2 mana is good, but why not 16!

Angelic Skirmisher+Rhox Faithmender It is because of this combination that makes the fact that I have won the game with 110 health or so multiple times. It is simply overpowered.

Elspeth, Sun's Champion+Cathars' Crusade I mean, I like getting 3 1/1 Soldiers every turn just as much as the next guy in line, but why not get 3 4/4 creatures?


In this deck I have Journey to Nowhere and Spear of Heliod as some pretty effective removal just to keep me going along with the lifegains.

Sungrace Pegasus may seem a little bit out of place here but I have him here because it is lifelink, and flying, both of which work well with the rest of this deck.


Important Note:

If you were wondering how Cathars' Crusade works, here is how. The only reason that if I spawn 3 1/1 tokens that they are all 4/4s and not 3/3s is because one token triggering Cathars' Crusade targets ITSELF. The other thing, why my creatures are not 1 2/2, 1 3/3, and 1 4/4 is because TOKEN CREATURES ALL COME OUT AT THE SAME TIME, so they all trigger each other simultaneously.
