When I saw the Blue Steel deck for modern I thought first of it's flexibility- aggro, stax, and card advantage, upon thinking about the deck and it's many potentials I couldn't help but think to legacy and about it's potential as a disruptive stax deck backed up with tempo and card advantage, this is my shot at coming up with such a deck for legacy.

With multiple mana reduction effects: Grand Architect, Chief Engineer, and to a lesser extent Etherium Sculptor, we can afford to pay for effects like Sphere of Resistance and Thorn of Amethyst. Our mana reduction effects also allow us to cast massive Walking Ballistas. Lodestone Golem is another stax card that barely effects us whist being a beater in it's own right. Artificer's Assistant and Smuggler's Copter both provide us with card advantage when our opponents can't cast spells.

Against fair creature decks, Walking Ballista plus an Academy Ruins should act like our very own punishing fire- good for pesky elves and death and taxes creatures.

Mausoleum Wanderer is a very good card against unfair decks like combo decks and control, decks that play Force of Will, Infernal Tutor or Show and Tell will have to pay an extra one or often two mana in addition to all our other stax effects.

And that price tag!!! Pretty Respectable for a legacy deck.
