The deck is awesome but I wish it had some graveyard recursion for if the kill the Soulflayer or if you mill it with Satyr Wayfinder. you should put in some tutor effect like maybe Liliana Vess for games where you can't find Soulflayer. Removal in the board to get rid of Anafenza, the Foremost who is seeing more play. More white source so you can play Mantis Rider who is a good back up plan and a powerful attacker. something else to think about is a way to stop Siege Rhino who can try to race a Soulflayer without lifelink

Mantis Rider seems at home in this deck.

It's good to see you splashed red for Tormenting Voice! I was thinking of that but am weary of four colour decks. I also noticed you have Stubborn Denial as your counter of choice, very interesting with your main creature being able to activate the ferocious trigger. I was more worried about Disdainful Stroke myself and the opponent using it to prevent me from playing Soulflayer so I opted for negate and gainsay in the sideboard. I must also say i completely overlooked Gurmag Swiftwing as he is a very good delve target but also isn't an entirely dead creature in your hand.

thanks for the support Pickachu202 i think I'm going to have to add Fleetfeather Cockatrice as its death touch flying goes well with the first strike allow the Soulflayer to survive match ups.

Awesome, I noticed Archonbob was asking about graveyard recursion, Soul of Innistrad offers plenty of that as well as being a deathtoucher with a soul to flay.

I love the idea, but why stretch your mana so thin with 5 even colors instead of just a small splash for only chromanticore? There's already sultai whip. You can probably throw chromanticore, soulflayer, and commune with the gods into that shell and have a more consistent deck. Maybe the blue black dragon for an increased chance for hexproof.

Gods this is crazy. And relatively cheap, next to a lot of decks. A budget version of this should totally be possible. +1

Also, I love the concept. Not sure what to suggest addition wise- the trouble with Lilliana is that you'd be fairly likely to mill her. Maybe some delve? You end up with a lot of noncreature cards in your graveyard, which are perfect for feeding into a treasure cruise or Become Immense. Or something like that.

Archonbob, stuckonmars, AricMcDonald, Wreckless: thank you so much for the votes of support your awesome! AricMcDonald: awesome suggestions I was noticing the same during playtests. I was thinking possible Murderous Cut aswell. TheGreatLiar thanks! as far as the five colors go I just couldn't help myself and tried the whip scenario and though its consistent I really wanted something reckless and aggressive oddly enough. I went with all the colors because worst case scenario I can generally cast the entire deck with some ease. yes its painful due to the mana base but no pain no gain. thanks again guys fo4r all your support and suggestions I really appreciate it!

As in... I've wanted chromanticore to be playworthy for a while so glad I didn't flush that rainbow turd!

Or... That 3.99$ all you can eat Mexican food buffet was a bad idea cause now I got rainbow turds.

Or... I ate your birthday candles... You get where im going..

Thanks klone13!

You really need Sylvan Caryatid in here for proper mana fixing.

Delve. No Doubt About It. is my version of it, also being only 3-color and also a freestanding deck without Soulflayer. I might make it 5-color, but I still want to be original. +1. Also, Sagu Mauler?

December 31, 2014 7:50 p.m.

I'm just saying that with 12 lands that can damage you and after play testing with this deck I can honestly say that I believe your mana base hurts you way too much. I think you should look into some life gain (possibly Whip of Erebos?) other than just your three Chromanticores.

Femme_Fatale: invaluable advice as always thank you I had shy'd away from the caryatid as it could only benefit flayer with the hexproof but the mana fixing is just all too necessary. removed Narset, Enlightened Master as she was generally the hardest to cast and more often than not a dead draw. pleasiodmakerblooloo ill have to playtest with the caryatid for a bit to see if that helps out. thank you for your support and suggestions. Prima the mauler is a definite possibility thank you!

how about Prophetic Flamespeaker because double strike.

December 31, 2014 8:58 p.m.

I've been thinking about it, and I think I'd highly recommend Become Immense over any other delve instant/sorcery. Here's why: he should theoretically be able to annihilate anything he comes into contact with, even more so since fliers tend to be a bit smaller due to their flying. Not only is it kinda a combat trick that could save his demonic hide, say if your opponent gives the blocker instant speed first strike, but also this... Imagine your turn scenario goes as dictated in your description. You'll have a ton of other cards in your graveyard by the time you swing with that 4/4 demon in the air turn four. Now make him become immense. He's a 10/10.... Now imagine you have a double striker in your graveyard. Of course your opponent doesn't know you have a become immense in hand you can cast for G, so they don't block.

Here's a complete list of all double strikers in standard currently (I assume more will be spoiled in fate reforged, but for now this is all we know of.):

Dragon-Style Twins

Fabled Hero

Ghostblade Eidolon

Skyspear Cavalry

Prophetic Flamespeaker

Two-Headed Cerberus

You may also consider Rakshasa Vizier for obvious reasons.

Also, if you had trample then the double strike damage would hit for a lot even if your opponent does block, then you still have a 4/4 flying double strike trample for next turn and maybe another become immense in hand.
