Description

Play dudes, throw some pants on them and beat face. Leave you opponent off guard and still wondering what the heck just happened.

I play this deck at my LGS, Current meta is evolving, so I decided to shake things up. I am going to make people play more sac effects in Monoblack, and its gonna be funny.

FNM 2/7/2014

2-0 W against GW aggro

He played Voice of Resurgence and Trostani, Selesnya's Voice so I used Flesh / Blood to kill Trostani, Selesnya's Voice and I chained his Voice of Resurgence game 1 and game two he played Fated Intervention before blockers on my 2 Gladecover Scout so I Ghor-Clan Rampager into Boros Charm for the kill.

2-0 Mono Black Devotion

I pants up killed him game one

Game two I beat him after he drew a ton of cards off of Underworld Connections I killed his Desecration Demon with a huge Witchstalker 2-1 Bant Control

Teared him in half game one

Got milled by Jace game two

Game 3 Torn him in half.

Mind you this FMN was before I added 3 more Witchstalker to my deck i was running boros reckoner until i found someone who was willing to trade them.

How much did Voice of Resurgence see play from your sideboard? Also, Witchstalker is such an underrated bomb of a creature. I've been looking for a way to abuse him.

I personally would -4 flesh/blood, -2 Ghor-clan, and -2 hero And would add 4x Fleecemane Lion and 4x Hopeful Eidolon

I'd move Witchstalker to the sideboard and probably use Eidolon of Countless Battles because of all the Auras and creatures he could get crazy.

I'd recommend running Fiendslayer Paladin instead of the Hero of Iroas . Even though Hero of Iroas is awesome you have no way to keep him on the board and he is going to be a target for removal. On the sideboard I'd recommend you keep Mistcutter Hydra and be prepared to swap him in for Fiendslayer Paladin . Green doesn't have too much in the way of removal--though white could pose a problem. I'm just thinking in terms of getting you 12 guys with hexproof or some kind of protection on them. The is no good hexproof 2 drop in Standard. But let me qualify that--there's Sylvan Caryatid which is awesome in it's own right, but of course you can't attack with it and this deck needs to be able swing and keep swinging. And there's Fleecemane Lion but by the time you can monstrous him (running only 22 lands) you'll either have won the game or have lost the game. I had hoped that Born of the gods would have come out with a two drop hexproof--but it didn't happen.

my feature base is 4 glade cover, 4 hero of iroas, 4 fencing ace and 4 fabled hero. i also run alpha authority and mad cap to make a hex proof unblock able dude. played it the day before games day of born of the gods and came 5th, hero of iroas is intense, oh i also run eidelon of countless battles. turn 2 hero of iroas into mad cap mad cap ethereal armour is hard to come back from.
