Hey first try at a standard deck in a while decided to go mono black. The deck has some cool combos and every card plays very well with every other card. If I can draw creatures and mana along the turn curve, it works pretty well. The deck is similar to the aristocrats with no aristocrats and is mono black.

EDIT - Decided to try to describe the combos better.

Blood Artist = anytime any creature dies I gain life, opponent loses life. There will be lots of death

Altar's Reap = used to trigger morbid, gain card advantage, be confusing.

Thrull Parasite = gets extort on the board early. if I have any left over mana after casting a creature go ahead and extort to get a 2 pt swing in life differential.

Also his ability to remove counters can come in handy with Geralf's Messenger.

Skirsdag High Priest = more advantages for me if anything dies. I realized that I had a lot of death on the board and creatures that I didn't really want to attack with (Thrull Parasite, Blood Artist, Crypt Ghast). Why not use those two conditions to generate 5/5 flying demons to beat down with.

Geralf's Messenger = zombie on the board so Gravecrawler only visits the graveyard. also an almost guaranteed 4 damage for 3 mana is pretty nice.

Diregraf Ghoul = zombie on the board, same as above, plus a 2/2 beater for 1 mana.

zombie on the board + Gravecrawler + Bloodthrone Vampire = sac Gravecrawler and cast from the graveyard over and over to buff Bloodthrone Vampire

zombie on the board + Gravecrawler + Bloodthrone Vampire + Blood Artist = now my opponent takes 1 and I gain 1 for everyone of these deaths

zombie on the board + Gravecrawler + Bloodthrone Vampire + Blood Artist + Crypt Ghast = sac and cast Gravecrawler twice as many times as before.

Tragic Slip = as you can see shits gonna be dying. use it to kill opponent creatures or if necessary my own Gravecrawler or Thrull Parasite in order to trigger Skirsdag High Priest

The deck can also get very deceptive. Players will constantly be second guessing whether they should block and kill a creature in fear of Skirsdag High Priest bringing out a 5/5 demon and/or Blood Artist hitting for direct damage and lifegain.

I like to attack with Bloodthrone Vampire and Gravecrawler if you block Gravecrawler sac him to make Bloodthrone Vampire bigger. Try to block Bloodthrone Vampire with a 2/2 or 3/3 sac Gravecrawler for a surprise and both of us lose a creatures. This will probably trigger Blood Artist or Skirdag High Priest just giving me more of an advantage.
