This deck focuses on early introduction of Fabled Hero or Fleecemane Lion . These creatures should be provided with trample as soon as possible and then, in ideal game, kept under protection of Faith's Shield and Dromoka's Command. Protecting your creatures is however not a must thanks to unique ability of Rancor (if it becomes unattached, it keeps returning from the battlefield to your hand, unless countered, exiled or cast on invalid target). Deck is also quite cheap and it proved to be very effective.

Selesnya Charm provides surprise blocks (2/2 knight token), damage boost with trample (if needed) and removal of big creatures (exile). Dromoka's Command provides boost (+2C if cast on Fabled Hero), protection from burn spells and removal (fight).

Once Fleecemane Lion becomes monstrous in later game, pet your cat by casting Unflinching Courage for both improved damage and free lives (6/5 indestructible hexproof trample lifelink).

Ideal game could look similiarly to this:

Starting hand: Razorverge Thicket, Forest, Plains, Avacyn's Pilgrim or Elvish Mystic, Fabled Hero or Fleecemane Lion , Rancor and Faith's Shield .

  • T1: Drop Razorverge Thicket. Cast Avacyn's Pilgrim or Elvish Mystic for quick mana.
  • T2: Drop Forest or Plains. Cast Fabled Hero using also mana from Avacyn's Pilgrim or Elvish Mystic. Hope your Fabled Hero will survive this turn. If you are facing burn deck, you might want to play slower.
  • T3: Drop either Plains, Forest or Sunpetal Grove. Cast Rancor on Fabled Hero, then attack for 10.
  • T4: Attack again with Fabled Hero to finish your opponent. Support him with Dromoka's Command (+4 damage + remove potential blocker), Selesnya Charm (+6 damage) or maybe another Rancor (+6 damage).

Should you be forced to use your Rancor early in the game, but don't want to "sacrifice" the enchanted creature to get Rancor back to hand, use either Faith's Shield (protection from green) or Dromoka's Command (sacrifice your own enchantment).

Hope you like the deck. It might be not too innovative, but it plays well. Comments and suggestions are welcome. If you like it, please upvote :)
