I love hoplites, I love tokens decks and Heroic abilities, and I also love some Jeskai cards... So I try to build a BUDGET deck based on these things! I hope it will be a funny deck to play with!!!! Here how it could work:
Akroan Hoplite: This is the key card! Combine with some attacking creatures it can be very dangerous. How can we make it happens? Launch the Fleet let us double our attacking creatures, but if we play it in combo with Akroan Crusader we can even triplicate them and in addition it's a very good Heroic Trigger. So there is only a problem: Akroan Hoplite toughness is only 2, so he could be not only blocked, but also killed easily. It's time to play cards like Gods Willing and Aqueous Form to make him unstoppable (or Ride Down from the side).
Phalanx Leader: one of my favourite cards, put a +1/+1 counter on each other creatures in our control with his Heroic abilities. Our army could become very big!
Favored Hoplite: a cheap creature, with terrific potential. Hit his Heroic trigger to pump him up and prevent all the damage that he takes in the turn. Combined with Phalanx Leader can become very strong.
Akroan Crusader: once again, Heroic ability for an easy red Soldier Token with Haste. TRIPLICATE attacking creatures in combo with Launch the Fleet.
Fabled Hero: Double strike, +1/+1 counter every time we hit his Heroic ability. He can be a great alternative for the win combined with Gods Willing and Aqueous Form like the Akroan Hoplite.
Daxos of Meletis: can't be blocked by creatures with power 3 or greater, so 2 Phalanx Leader Heroic triggers or another pump (like with Obelisk of Urd) and he can be potentially immortal. Also a good life gainer, that becomes great if we make him unblockable!
Anax and Cymede: fundamental Heroic ability that gives Trample and +1/+1 to our creatures till the end of the turn. This card can make Akroan Hoplite or Fabled Hero so dangerous also if blocked.
Nyxborn Shieldmate: good first turn drop, but also a great Heroic Trigger as an Aura.
High Sentinels of Arashin: a Soldier from Tarkir, that becomes bigger for each creature we control with one or more +1/+1 counter... Very interesting.. Maybe we can add one more...
Launch the Fleet: nothing more to say: combine it with different Heroic abilities and let your army grow up!
Gods Willing: Heroic Trigger, can make a creature unblockable for a turn.
Aqueous Form: Heroic trigger, the creature is now unstoppable.
Jeskai Charm: 3 interesting effects, we can choose depending on the situation.
Obelisk of Urd: Convoke, so very good with a tokens deck. +2/+2 to Soldiers!
Flying Crane Technique: why this card? Because it's AMAZING! Flying creatures, with double strike, in a second! Maybe too mana needed for this deck, but dropped in late game can be the FINISHER! I'd like to play more than one, but I don't know if it works!
