More Self-Mill Shenanigans —Aug. 17, 2016
I'm loving this deck so much! I can't help but continue to finesse it.

This update adds more self-mill in order to fill the graveyard quicker.
Added:
Monastery Siege: I like that it has no activation cost. Just draw 2, discard 1 every turn. I wanted card draw that forces me to fill my graveyard.
Forbidden Alchemy: Draw a card and toss 3 into the graveyard at instant speed. Very much on theme. The flashback cost is way too expensive but the original cost is solid.
Armored Skaab: Another Laboratory Brute for 1 less mana.
Wailing Ghoul: Weenie zombie that self-mills
Mesmeric Orb: just bonkers in this deck. Fills up everyone's graveyard to prep you for Rise of the Dark Realms.
Call to Mind: This took Dralnu, Lich Lord's spot.. Dralnu just felt too risky giving opponents a chance to ping him to force you to sac permanents. I wanted another sorcery/instant recursion spell in case key spells got milled though.
Vengeful Pharaoh: Solid devotion to black to help Gray Merchant of Asphodel and acts as a kill spell when he's in the graveyard.
Removed:
Succumb to Temptation: Solid card draw but wanted more draw that forced me to discard.
Murder: a weaker Hero's Downfall. With the boardwipes I didn't feel I needed it.
Lim-Dul's Vault: Awesome spell but didn't send cards into my graveyard
Copse Harvester: I want zombies tutored into my graveyard, not my hand.
Dralnu, Lich Lord: Risky as mentioned above.
Secrets of the Dead: This one was tough to cut. Again, I wanted draw spells that make me discard though.
Endless Ranks of the Dead: Going wide with zombie tokens isn't what I'm really trying to do.

Both Liliana Vess and Liliana, the Last Hope can be useful. The first to tutor and gain another Rise of the Dark Realms and the other to self mill and build an army.
You have guts man, i don't have the courage to self mill... +1 from me!

Would an Undead Alchemist be a good addition for you? It pumps out a decent amount of zombie tokens...personal fave of mine, dunno what everyone else thinks...

CrazyDanPsycho, thanks for the suggestion. I considered Undead Alchemist but my concern with it is that it exiles cards from the opponent's library instead of putting them in the graveyard. I want them in the graveyard for Rise of the Dark Realms. Also, it cancels out combat damage my zombies do to players. It is easier with my deck to kill through combat damage than milling. My milling is focused on myself and not decking my opponents. He would be great if my prime goal is milling out everyone else :)

I fully understand. :-) I agree with Soldcastro, I've thought about a self-mill deck quite often, but never had the guts for it. Kudos, and +1.

I have to agree with Soldcastro. Liliana Vess and Liliana, the Last Hope would both be great additions. The first is a tutor as well as another Rise of the Dark Realms (as stated above) and the second has some more self-mill abilities and a zombie generator. Another suggestion is Liliana's Reaver. It's a zombie so you can cast it with Gisa and Geralf and it creates even more zombies. And I'm not sure if these are to slow or don't do enough but maybe consider Moan of the Unhallowed and Screeching Skaab

About Unbreathing Horde, it's great!
It's very good to block a 20/20 creature with trample with a 1/1 Zombie and take no damage.
If you have any lord that gives +1/+1 to zombies, it'll remain in the game even without counters.
It's a very solid zombie. both for attack (as it can become a big creature) and defense. You should have it on your list in my humble opinion.

Do you have a budget version of this deck by chance? I unfoiled everything on this list and the total came out to ~$700. I'm not made of money... Sobs in corner quietly
