Soulfire Grand Master + damage-based removal (Lightning Bolt, Lightning Helix, Spark of Creativity , Blasphemous Act, Anger of the Gods)

Soulfire Grand Master + Boros Reckoner out rolling Boros Charm's indestructibility into Blasphemous Act can be a finisher or change the tide from being behind.

Usually you should cast Spark of Creativity before your land drop, you get to choose to burn a creature or you get a chance to play that next card, so save the land drop in case you flip a land. Once the card is revealed, the damage cannot be responded to, because the spell is in the middle of resolving so it's pretty tricky as a removal option. Alternatively you can just target it to Boros Reckoner for a good time. I really like it, it's like half-n-half removal-draw.

Chandra, Torch of Defiance's +1 modes are a similar kind of card advantage or ramp. The other modes are relevant too.

Nahiri, the Harbinger's +2 is pretty decent for card advantage, and the -2 is pretty versatile for removal.
