Possible WinCons;-Mechanized Production; easy enough, just make money & protect enchanted treasure from removal (oh and not die).-Marionette Master; kind of a plan B to MP, in a "bait and switch" style. Best played after a few rounds of MP, so that it can technically win 1 turn earlier then getting to 8 moneys.-Tezzeret the Schemer; probably the most unreliable WinCon, but the Ult w/ a pile of money can either kill your opponent really fast or keep them busy long enough to reach either of the above. Plus, he's good onboard removal & can make some not-treasure artifact tokens in case you need a target for MP or MM.
Pluses;- can play some good control cards that contribute to your WinCons.- you get to make CA$H MUNN, which lets you play permanents w/o needing to keep lands up for removal.- Most of your WinCons also contribute to your deck working well- Built-in mana fixing
Deltas;- VERY mana-intensive, which makes missing a land drop painful- W/ most of your token generation @ cmc 3, this deck starts slow- Not a lot of punchy creatures; prepare to get hurt. A lot.
Not really meant as a tourney-killer deck, but I would like it to be viable & fun in Modern (standard was way too fast a format for this kind of deck.)
Questions;- Do I play Inspiring Statuary over Anointed Procession? It's cheaper & lets me cut the mana pool down, but doesn't necessarily win the game faster for me.- Do I play Fatal Push over Battle at the Bridge? I mean, I know the answer is yes, but would it really be worth the $200 to get a playset?- Do I play Bontu's Last Reckoning? I wouldn't really care about the lands w/ treasure, but what gets out in its' place?- Do I try to move the AER cards out, play Antiquities War & keep this in Standard?- Why is it called FEMA? Answer; cuz all it does is throw money at the problem.
