Designed for removing opponent's threats in hand prior to being able to place on the board. Thoughtseize to see opponent's hand and remove dangerous spells, mind rot to follow with removing opponent's support cards in hand. This gets an early flier who helps make my human monks and assassins flying to attack, or just chump block at flying. Has to the anti-hero assassin for opponent creature sacrifice and death touch for double duty creature removal. Bonus if the Monastery Mentor is out as this happens.
