BahamutPRME on Casual Greek Deck

So I'm trying to make a deck for my friend for his birthday and he likes Greek Mythology, specifically Poseidon, Hades, and Zues in this order. I'm wanting to stay in the Theros block and have 3 deck ideas but I need some advice and criticism because I don't want to make him a weak deck.

Here are what I've made:

The first one is using Heliod because I made this first and forgot there is a god that looks like zues but in MTG Heliod is the "Leader" or Highest ranking or whatever.

The second one is using Keranos and white humans so its 4 colors instead of 3.

The third one is sticking to the block and theme but also sticking to heroic and scry.

I have always been bad about including a safe amount of land in my decks so that is something i really need help with. I also wasn't sure if this was the best way to show the decks or if i should've just copy and pasted each text.

Thank you!

Greek Deck 2

Greek Deck 3

Sorry for the long post. Wasn't sure how to do this.

Hmmm, seems like you might limit yourself if you stick to just humans. Also the only cards in your deck that care if you play humans is Xathrid Necromancer, Thalia's Lieutenant, Champion of the Parish, and Falkenrath Aristocrat which that last one you can't reanimate with your commander.

You're probably going to want loads more tribal support if you're dedicated to just humans. This deck badly wants Adaptive Automaton, Door of Destinies, Kindred Boon, Kindred Dominance, Mirror Entity, Obelisk of Urd, Path of Ancestry, Shared Animosity, Shared Triumph, Stoneforge Masterwork, Taurean Mauler, Unclaimed Territory, Urza's Incubator, Vanquisher's Banner, and Cavalry Pegasus.

Besides tribal support, your deck might like Path to Exile, Boros Signet, and Sinister Concoction.

Lastly, while this is a humans tribal deck there are some non-human creatures that can give effects to all creatures, which when you think about it can be treated as though it were a tribal ability in essence. These creatures would be Angel of Invention, Drana, Liberator of Malakir, and Grenzo, Havoc Raiser, because their effects also apply to all your human creatures.

You are probably right to keep the Standard Bearer in your meta.Thinking about it the Cavalry Pegasus would probably go into the deck instead of 2x Gust Walkerssince it provides Flying wich is redundant with Gust Walkers exert ability, but im not intirely sure if the Cavalry Pegasus is worth going down this great threat. However, if your meta has alot of Mono-B Control in it it could go in instead of Armadillo Cloak or Bonds of Faith since these beiing auras trade 1 for 2 vs a removal spell when used on an allied creature.Could be worth a try!

Thanks for your comment! The deck has definitely evolved a bit and I've ended up using less Human-specific cards since the first iteration (Armadillo Cloak was originally Equestrian Skill and Marshaling Cry was Bladed Bracers).

Cavalry Pegasus seems interesting, but I'm not switching out my Standard Bearers for anything. My meta is dominated by removal-heavy black decks, so I need the protection, plus there's a W/B Bogles deck that I can prevent them from playing on their own creatures.

Seems like a very spicy deck you got going on here, but i think you dont have enough tribal payoff yet. You're playing all humans, but your only card that benifits from that is Bonds of Faith.A Card that i could find to help with that on the quick is Cavalry Pegasus which i'd defenetly put inover Standard Bearer since you dont really need the protection it provides with mostly 2 drops in your deck.

I think Cavalry Pegasus would be a very nice inclusion into the deck.

If you choose Horse for Arcane Adaptation, the door would trigger for both. Cavalry Pegasus would enter the battlefield as a Pegasus Horse, and Door of Destinies would get a counter. The tokens from Crested Sunmare would receive a bonus to their p/t, but would not place a counter on the door.
