This deck uses Zombies to maintain board state by reanimating your field. Cards like Gisa and Geralf allows you to play make some cheap plays when you have a large graveyard. Prized Amalgam and Relentless Dead are there to provide substance for the deck to reanimate and maintain board state. Diregraf Colossus and Cryptbreaker give you token power and can provide fodder for your Liliana, the Last Hope as a late game win condition. The spells in the deck are to provide annoying mechanics alongside the zombies. Collective Brutality adds more utility in the deck.
