Before you get into the deck, please keep in mind that I am trying to keep this a budget deck, and most expensive cards you see on the list are cards I already own, therefore I dont consider them an expense. Most of the decks cost come from the sideboard(Settle the Wreckage, Authority of the Consuls), and I never consider the sideboard a necessity when building a deck.
You ready to play some Magic? Too bad!
As the name might suggest, this deck is chalk-full of cards that opponents just hate to play against. They might say why would you play Tocatli Honor Gaurd, its a horrible card, but then a couple turns later say F*ck! I just paid 5 mana for a 4/4 trample that does nothing! Other fun cards include: Nezehal, Primal Tide Pod, because who doesnt like a 7/7 whos impossible to get rid of, Dovin Baan(cuz the only thing cooler than playing Magic is keeping other people from doing so!), all those WONDERFUL, AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL counter-spells, and, of course, Azor, the Lawbringer, the only card thats the least bit redeemable.
Seriously though, this is a simple W/U control deck I made cuz of an Azor, the Lawbringer I got at a draft. The goal of this deck is to make the opponents creatures useless with cards like Tocatli Honor Guard, Nimble Obstructionist, and Dovin Baan, and swinging big with Azor and Nezahal, Primal Tide (or alternatively, you can cast Approach of the Second Sun). Basic control, but more centered around life gain than most, making it pretty great against aggro on game 1.
This deck is still in its infancy, so please dont be to harsh on it. All help is appreaciated!
