This is an experiment in building a deck around Assault Formation and using a bunch of cheap CMC/High Toughness cards like Aerie Bowmasters and Archers' Parapet .

It uses Sight of the Scalelords to pump them up when they attack.

Using Karametra's Acolyte for a mana boost. She becomes a 4/4 once Assault Formation is on the board and her 4 Toughness triggers Sight of the Scalelords.

Initially I had Nylea's Disciple in for life gain, but playtesting revealed that Sultai Flayer is a better choice...they are both 4 drops but the flayer has 4 toughness and can potential yield more life since it can get multiple triggers from all the other 4 toughness bodies.

I'm trying to keep this as a budget deck, but I do have a set of Courser of Kruphix only because I already have them and they are customer made for this deck. However, if I were building this from scratch and had limited funds, the courser's could be replaced with Colossodon Yearling . It's a three drop 2/4 so you keep the body and lose the effects. That would shave $30+ from the total deck cost.

Still a work in progress but I like it so far. Suggestions are welcome.
