I finally made a (maybe) playable EDH version: deck: how-to-lose-friends-and-alienate-people-the-deck

If anyone ever assembles one of these monstrosities I will love you forever

Why run Temple Garden , Caves of Koilos , Godless Shrine and Mana Confluence ? I understand that the point of this deck is to not have the game ever end, but putting these lands into play/ using them causes you to lose life, which may eventually cause the game to end. Why not run basic lands and things like Fetid Heath and Sunpetal Grove ? These would be much more efficient and not cause life loss. Also, why Ghost Quarter ? It doesn't put your opponent one land behind if you use it on them, and you don't run any basic lands to use it on yourself. It would be more effective if you ran basic lands, or you could just cut it completely.

As a matter of fact, losing life will not cause the game to end. The game cannot end thanks to Abyssal Persecutor and Platinum Angel , and everything that protects them. I just simply forgot about the Sunpetal Grove cycle but I may include them now. This deck only needs two non-white cards (Abyssal Persecutor and Tajuru Preserver ), but being able to play them without waiting for the right lands is essential because I already have to wait for 10 whole different cards and the life loss is negligible for two reasons: 1) Life loss won't lose the game for me and 2) I'm not actually going to build this deck.
Ghost Quarter is necessary for Boseiju, Who Shelters All , one of the few cards that can get past Dovescape .

you can't win and you can't lose. When they are shrouded and indestructible means you can't target them either, if you have no way to stop this infinite loop the game ends in a draw.

There is no infinite loop. Therefore there is no draw. The game continues until the table is flipped.

Let me spell this out for everyone who is confused or otherwise questions the legality of this combo. Abyssal Persecutor and Platinum Angel have two separate, independent, static effects. They do not interact with each other or any other cards. Platinum Angel prevents me from losing whether by life loss, decking, infect, or my opponent achieving a win condition such as Darksteel Reactor . Literally anything that would cause me to lose or my opponent to win, as the card says right on it (you can read it for yourself), it is prevented. Abyssal Persecutor does the same thing but for my opponent. They cannot lose the game even I somehow manage to get them 0 life, or if they draw all the cards in their library, or if they play one of the Pacts or Phage the Untouchable .

These two cards prevent anyone from winning or losing in any way without interacting with each other or looping, etc.

Every other card in this card is just a way to protect those two cards. The game literally cannot end (until someone resigns obviously). Now just try to enjoy the joke you negative nancies.

Then there are 2 possible outcomes from this situation.

Either time runs out on the match and you are in a draw, or someone concedes.

I believe he just stated that.

Magicpants, you could win the ire and/or admiration of your Commander group with a variation of this! Maybe with Ajani, Mentor of Heroes ?

I think one could beat this deck with Karn Liberated . He or she couldn't target you because of True Believer, but could target him/herself until achieving Karn's ultimate, restarting the game, and starting a new one with advantage.
But oh well who damn cares:? This deck is nuts! I'd suggest to take True Believer off for Aegis of the Gods as it can get Shroud from Greater Auramancy :P

I had originally put in Aegis of the Gods but I decided on True Believer for Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx purposes.

Also, thank you for pointing out Karn. Dovescape does take care of him, but it's probably worth putting back Mangara of Corondor just to be sure.

Supreme Verdict & Obliterate are all I see that would work bypass Dovescape if Avacyn, Angel of Hope isn't present.
